I have seen enough of Chicago Styx' posts to know he wasn't slamming Dennis. I've seen him do that in the past, but normally only when he felt provoked. By the same token, I don't agree with Bugsy's comment that nothing positive about Dennis is allowed here. I do think that recently, this group of people has allowed themselves to sling mud with a lot more aggression than they should. I think there is the assumption that those who favor Dennis turn a blind eye to mud slinging at the current band, and vice versa. I'm sure at times that's true. I'm also sure it isn't as true as some would believe. I also think that in some cases people are ONLY posting to provoke these mud slinging reactions.
I'm happy for Dennis that he enjoyed his part in the movie. That even if it doesn't win an Oscar, it was still a fun thing for him and his family and band. Yes Hillary Duff caters to a young age demographic. These days, so does Styx. Nothing wrong with that if what your intent is to broaden your audience.
Here's to the success of both.
