Here it is...

This is what you all wanted...

This is what JY wanted...

Miss America....

Broad daylight....

More empty seats than full seats...

Way to go new Styx - you must be proud...

I think "Broad Daylight" is the key here. This vid looks like it was shot at like Six Flags, Busch Gardens, or some other similar type venue. If that's the case, I wouldn't expect a lot of people there in the daytime. Had this been done at night, I think more people would have been there. Then again, the Six Flags show in NJ was packed solid when they were with REO a few years back. Hell, for all we know this was an open "jam session" to test the equipment before the show. IF it was an actual concert, then I agree it was a rather minuscule crowd, but I don't know if I would blame that on the band more than the time of day/venue. Another possibility is the fact that people may have paid extra for the closer stage seating and the rest of the ampetheatre was full... I don't think the camera panned out wide enough to tell.

Definately during the summer sound check tour with Def. All the close seats were I love all access at $150+ per ticket clearly those folks were not there yet and maybe Def fans, I wouldn't spend that kind of $$ for 6 songs by Styx. Maybe the seats back farther were filled.

the clip says it's from Wantagh, which would be Jones Beach. I wasn't at this show because all the floor seats were $275. I went to Hershey PA instead, where it cost me $55 for seats way back on the floor, but we snuck up to the 12th row. (this is the show where my darling hubby & son got FREE 9th row tix handed to them, so they could look for us...LOL)

regardless, i know a bunch of people who went to the Jones Beach show and had a good time. but they didn't pay the $275 (or more from scalpers) to sit close. So a valid point has been raised- there is a very strong possibility that the other sections were quite full.

never said anything of the sort. i was referring to YOUR DELUSIONS. I really don't care whether you believe anything any of us say or not. it's your choice. but at least when *the majority* of us discuss something, ie STYX, it's grounded in reality; not the absurd, ulterior universe that you are residing in. Hope it's not too lonely there for you, rajah, and his multiple personalities.

I saw Hannah & The Jonas Brothers two Mondays ago. Paid more than I EVER dreamed of for going to a concert.

My kids ABSOLUTELY loved the show.

So did mom & dad.

The Jonas Brothers are EXCELLENT.

It was a really good concert!

P.S. When I fired up the doobie the people around me TOTALLY freaked!!!

i'm not even going to ask! LOL Glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad my daughter hasn't jumped on the Hannah Montana bandwagon as of yet. (we escaped having to get tix to HS musical on ice too....) I can't believe how ridiculous prices to entertainment & sporting events are now. we went to a hockey game sat night, and the seats were about 10 rows from the very top of the arena, and they still cost us over $50 a ticket! so it was $229 for 4 tix, 7.25 per beer (12 oz bottle of bud!), 4.50 for a bag of popcorn, and i have no idea how much the cotton candy was. and $7 to park the car! we prob spent close to $300 for ONE game! (at least they won!!!) unreal

My daughter likes Billy Ray Virus' daughter, but it will be a cold day in Hell before I pay that kind of money for a concert. Sporting events, it'd have to be something special for me to want to pay my money to see. Superbowl, World Series, College Bowl Game or Stanley Cup games are usually worth the amount of money they cost, but anything short of that, I'd rather get drunk in my living room and watch it.

yeah, i hear ya. but i wanted to go to one more game before we moved. the worst thing was, they offered a family four pack of tix for half price (a 128 discout, plus vouchers for a restaurant & nathan's hot dogs) a few days after we had already purchased our tix. so of course i tried to get some sort of adjustment, to which they replied "here's our card, call us on monday and we'll try and get you discounts for another game" yadda yadda.... i'm MOVING that's not going to HELP

oh well.... the kids had fun, as did I, so it was worth it. :D and hockey rulz. ;)

Ugh, please don't mention moving. It's been 2 weeks since the moving truck caught on fire and I've been in this friggin hotel. I'm so close to suing Allied it ain't funny. 8 miles from my new house and 24,000 pounds of clothing, furniture, and memories gone. Hopefully, yours will be much smoother.

I was just joking with this picture to show how stupid this thread is.

This was taken at an early Soundcheck and we (Yogi, Mrs. Yogi, my friend Jodi and I) were lucky and very fortunate to be able to sit, relax and enjoy a very private concert. Now that was fricken great, how many fans can say that?

I'm trying to find my "current" Styx pictures to show the exact same thing during a soundcheck and maybe only 2 people being there!! I took that picture from backstage which makes it even more funny!

Oh and another thing, these guys, the "orignal" Styx members and former members are getting older and older. Does it really matter anymore how many people are actually attending these concerts? Is it really that important? Is anyone losing sleep over this??? Sheesh!!! I can provide numbers of paid tickets & also approximately the number of people that attended the freebie shows from each venue from "both sides" and you'll see a HUGE geographical difference with both parties.

Just enjoy this live music from both camps because sorry to say, these concerts aren't going to be going on forever..............

Hi, Suite! I am glad you posted this. I was going to add to this thread earlier, but decided not to do so. You hit the nail on the head.

Here is my take on that earlier one of Current Styx. They made good money for that show and plenty of others. I am sure THEY don't care.
