Beacon NYC Show

Although Styx is my favorite band and as much I would enjoy seeing Tommy perform Man in the Wilderness, I am not going to pay $179.00 for two tickets to this show. Plus they don't even confirm the seats you are getting. The Beacon has a really large floor section (which they call the orchestra), so realistically you could be pretty far from the stage. Not worth the price to see most of the same songs they have been playing over and over for years and shame on Styxworld for charging $8.00 convenience fees.

Step up to the plate and release a CD of all new music.

Anyway wow! that price tag is ridiculous i would never pay that for the band even if i could afford it. I'm eyeing the waukegan show but if it's near that price i'll have to pass

The most expensive tickets for the Evansville show are less than $50. I think that's extremely reasonable. Granted, it is Evansville, Ind., compared to New York City...

It's all about the money for everyone. This is how they make their living whether it's Bruce, Shaw, DeYoung, or Menudo. To think it's for any other thing is pretty naive...

Besides, since Styx has never been featured on Glee, they really aren't even good.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Styx hasn't been featured, yet. But look at all the other tv shows & movies that the music of Styx has been played, there's quite a few :)

I agree 100%. This is the type of show that life-long diehards would want to see. Not the average clueless fan who just wants to get drunk and hear the hits.
And diehards want the real Styx. Bring back Dennis and I'll pay that price, but without the 3 guys who wrote and sang on those albums it's just not worth it. Seriously, Most of the songs on those albums....The Grand Illusion, Come Sail Away, Castle Walls, The Grand Finale, I'm OK, Queen of Spades and Peices of Eight were sung By Dennis. Why would I pay that kind of cash to see someone else cover them?
Thats absurd.

I doubt that the Erie, PA show will cost as much as the NYC show. And anyway, I'll pay for my ticket, and whoever goes with me will pay for their ticket. I'll probably end up spending about $100 total for the concert. Fair enough price, IMO. They say it'll be those two albums plus some other hits.

I'm guessing:

To be fair, this may not be at the full direction of the band itself. At any rate, they are not worth that ticket price. I would not pay that to see someone else signing the DDY material. Even if DDY was in the mix I still would be hard pressed to justify that amount. I certainly would not fork over that amount of cash not knowing where the seats are. That is ridiculous! As for Stynxworld charging a convenience fee that's as bad as ticketmonster. If they can't tell you where your seats are, what's the convenience?

There are ways around being the same person on here but having different ip's. I am at work right now, and I have 2 laptops on my desk and my desktop, all with different providers and different IP's. Someone at home could have a wireless connection as well as a hard wired connection.

Just saying :)

That's pretty funny, seeing that somewhere you mentioned you were about my age (if not, older).....we got it, you love Gowan ad nauseum but now it's starting to get annoying. BTW if Froy bothers you so much, then just ignore him
