Just curious. If Suite gets to be manager of Larry, does that mean she outranks me? What is higher, manager or CFO, COO, President for life of LGFC?

Scott

Ahh, Scott, you can still be the honcho for the Larry Gowan Fan Club. Perhaps, though, if Suite does become the manager, when you call your next meeting, there will be someone there besides you, and the echo of the lonely voice of the CFO, CEO, COO and OMO (Only Member Of) the LGFC. 8)

Yeah, they just have to rush through sets and skip encores because people are booing and throwing stuff at them!

Don't forget giving away their new music away for free because they couldn't find a label to produce it in the states.

Nice try. They WANTED to give it away. Rather than have dismal numbers. The CD was included in the ticket price. By my count, they have sold between 380,000 to 420,000.

Keep trying though.

Even to those that didn't want it or care about it. Nothing like forcing your product on your customers because you know they won't buy it on their own.

Wrong again. How can you say no one wants their product when they are selling out across the nation. Again, I need to remind you, your band is not even close to ours...

Keep trying though..

well you have a point. I mean people paid to go the show, so they did buy the cd as well.

When I went to see Journey this past summer, we didn't get a free cd.

I ended up buying 2 copies.

When I saw Car.... oops, the current line up of Styx I didn't buy their cd.

If that means anything, don't know.

Well, the last time I saw Carrent Styx, I already owned all their new stuff.

I didn't see Journey this tour...but got the CD free anyway. I didn't want to travel so far to see them. I'm not too disapointed tho, because the way they released Generations sucks, and so does the way their way-to-expensive presale tickets, where you don't even know where your seat is.

And, yeah, everybody wanted those CD's. I mean, anybody can use another coaster by their PC.

That's funny. You just got done saying it was a fine effort on the other board.

Monker says:

The pop-ularity Journey is remembered for came after Jonathan arrived, not after Perry. Perry had three studio albums, a live album, and a Japan soundtrack...and three years with the band, and they could not achieve the pop-ularity they gained after Jonathan arrived.

That makes sense. Thanks for explaining.

It looks like Jonathan wrote or co-wrote most of the "popular" Journey songs, right?

Fine. He wrote "Cold War" then. To deny that Dennis alienated himself from the rest of the band is denying reality. Kilroy was HIS vision, not the band's. He took his rule over the band too far. So did Perry.

I still think, if majority of the band didn't want to do Kilroy or wanted any part of it, they all could've got together and stopped it from happening, they did in 1999 and look where they are now, right?

Reminds me of the "Cornfield of 1999". Very sad
