If he incriminates anyone, it is himself when he says that Mr. Roboto scared the "bejesus" out of the rock fans of Styx. He never mentions anyone by name and does not belittle the band.

Wrong. He specificaly said that "those two" created a myth and basicaly lied about how Babe affected the fanbase. Please quote ANYWHERE where JY or Tommy said there was rebellion in the FANBASE caused by Babe.

There was rebellion in THE BAND caused by Babe, not in the fanbase. Saying that JY and Tommy created and promoted it is the lie here.

To compare what he says in the interview to some of the comment made by JY is just silly.

And, there are interviews where Dennis takes almost total credit for all of Styx' success...in a "it was all ME..." attitude. He produced everything. He wrote everything. He could single handedly take "I'll Be Your Witness" and make it a huge hit...if only Tommy had let his magic hands touch it. Quite a contrast to this interview where he NOW says it takes EVERYBODY in the band.

And, BTW, Froy, it is again said that Dennis has moved on from Styx....as I said YEARS ago. Too bad some of his fans STILL can't accept that fact.

Tommy and JY have both said repeatedly that when Babe was written they knew that there could be a shift in their fanbase if it was released, BUT they also knew they had a hit on their hands as well. You could consider that a rebellion of sorts. I think Dennis was trying to debunk the myth that Babe caused fans to leave in droves (the consequent success of Paradise Theater supports that). Also you need to look at what answers the interviewer was fishing for. When JY is interviewed it is typically by someone with a "aren't you glad that loser Dennis is gone" mentality. And when Dennis is interviewed its usually from a "how could they kick you out of the band, you WERE Styx" mentality. Just keep that in mind when reading ANY interviews.

Does Dennis have a "I did it all mentality"? Sure. Take a look at the Styx "hit list" and he's right about 65% of the time. Certainly it wasn't him and him alone, but he did seem to pull more than his fair share of the weight.
