Froys Barney quote is a good one!!! But...... do you think if Dennis included the I Love You, You Love Me, were a happy family in his Hunchback play it would of hit Broadway and the soundtrack would of sold millions??????

It has also been pointed out by the many here that feel Dennis walks on water that Dennis could sing commercial jingles and they would love it and purchase his commercial jingle K-tel CD.

So I really think your Barney analogy was aimed the wrong way. Although it may be a good idea if his Hunchback production ever sees the light of day again to suggest to Dennis to add some of Barneys tunes to the show.

I think the Barney song additions could launch his Hunchback production out of the Tennesse trailer park theatres and at least get it to the wrestling venues in Mississippi, or maybe even Oklahoma.

Interesting that you feel the need to speak for an entire segment of fans. I wonder how many of them agree with your extreme words.

ok ... well ... fine... then continue being a dick Froy. You only make yourself look like an idiot. But hey, if that gets you off and makes you happy - then have at it.

I've written a mod for phpBB that allows you to specify an ignore list of people whom you do not wish to read their posts... perhaps Andrew will make this available to us at some point.

Let’s review this very topic, shall we?

Ash calls for a truce & considers leaving.
Bugsy agrees it tiring.
DeeJaySTYX agrees also (while professing a balanced appreciation of both Styx and DeYoung).
Swwskj philosophically advises patience.
Sadie’s ever the adult…(too bad her good-sense just hasn’t affected enough here)
styfanNH is philosophical and probably dead on with her suggestion that when Styx is in Europe things might simmer down ‘round here…and also makes a good point that what Froy seems to be doing is following the current Styx by protesting their every move.
gr8dane busts Froy (I ofcourse agree with his point)
onestilllearning manages to find the good (and the stupid) in us.
ek88 makes a good point that although Froy is redundant, no one’s forcing anyone to READ what he has to say.
Zan, ever the humorist, makes another hysterical crack about the imposing "Buddy Jesus".
Froy, probably the most blatant offender here, reacts by pronouncing anyone who doesn’t agree with him to be blind “followers” and vowing to never (ever) cease posting the way he does (self righteously insulting and arrogantly proclaiming as only Froy will)
Me? I agree that it’s all redundant, but as long as dumb statements are made & remade, I see reason to re-point out what’s dumb about it. And that’s boring.
Ultimately Froy pushes the originator of the topic, who called for a truce, to return an insult, thus dragging Ash into the very pit he began by criticizing.

I think I like classicstyxfan’s idea of calling each other when a line of acceptability or redundancy has been crossed. Perhaps posting a short phrase? Like reacting to “I never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever Get tired of it and never will” with a post that simply states “Your Record is Broken”…I dunno. That would require an atmosphere of cooperation (and THAT aint gonna happen).

My feeling is that there is a much better way to make a point than being offensive, negative and making self-important declarations of your opinions as fact.

And I believe that it takes a certain wisdom and probably intelligence to find the tolerance to ignore the negativity. (I obviously haven’t yet evolved to that point – I’m trying though, REALLY!)

But I think the entire process of posting your thoughts anonymously on the internet brings out some of our worst manners. Ya think half the ugly stuff said here would be said in a face-to-face “group therapy” situation?

(I sometimes regard this as just that – a bitchy group therapy meeting)

Furthermore, you have the ENJOYMENT issue. When we faulty humans find a forum where we can let out steam, some of us get a little tipsy from a feeling of empowerment. It is a way of dealing with some of the pent up crap you might face in your “real” world – your job, your boss, your bills, your troubles, any frustrations. So some will come to greatly enjoy the jolt that accompanies hitting the “return” key on a blurt of ill mannered “I’ll tell them!” snipes.

It’s internet graffiti. It’s garbage. And, as revealed w/ the Journey parallel, it’s everywhere. It’s unfortunate.

Wherever there’s a painting there’ll be a critic. Wherever there’s a recipe there’ll be a critic. Wherever there’s ANYTHING there’ll be an argument against it.

Again, I’m no saint in this. I try to be tolerant, but often succumb to stooping to a low level…I just get flabbergasted by what I consider rudeness, but my retaliations might step over the line on occasion – and I end up becoming SIMILAR to those who irritate me (boy THAT pisses me off too!). I’ve rarely tried to hijack a topic. I consider myself more of a backlasher. (Then again, I suppose that’s what EVERYONE fighting on both sides for & against Israel thinks: THEY STARTED IT FIRST!”)

Since I’m on a boring rant, I’ll also bring up something that someone – was it Yogi? – touched on: this MIGHT be a less interesting place to visit WITHOUT all the combat…

(Can you imagine what trying to run A COUNTRY must be like??? We can’t even have a civil bulletin board about a band who will be forgotten exactly 15 minutes after the last one reading this drops dead!)

Froy, don't you even understand YOUR OWN POSTS? You said, "No we cannot move on" That is speaking for others. How do you know others can't move on? You then followed it up with the "millions agree with you". Frankly, I think those millions HAVE moved on...it's only a vocal minority who hasn't.

I thoroughly enjoy this board. It is a great forum to "discuss" a topic that most of us have strong opinions about.

I do want to say that I met Froy recently (and not to take any wind out of your sails Froy) but I found him to be a perfect gentleman.

A lot of what people say here is done with a grain of salt, and tongue in cheek.

So don't take it too seriously. Just have fun.

Or not.
