Killing The Thing That You Love was as has been stated on numerous occasions written years ago.......... dont you believe Glen when he says these things....I mean he is working with DDY now so he must of been telling the truth all along. The same people who think that KTTTYL is about DDY probably think the Styx song Eddie is about the guitarist in Van Halen.....

I enjoyed "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye". I guess I'm one of the few Dennis fans that actually doesn't listen to that song and think they're singing about him on that one (even though I can't say that for many others on that album).
Of course, Tommy and JY only gave glen 2 songs out of 14 on the album - while Dennis gave him 4 out of 10 on Edge - so there's really not much of Glen to hear on this record outside of his backing vocals. I didn't care much for Killing That Thing You Love.... it's not a bad song.... just not one I really like all that much.

Ash, You really can't count the shorts on that album as full out songs. And don't forget that they were dealing with four primary writers instead of three, so the dynamics are a bit different.

Thank you. Four singers/songwriters instead of three. You could also say (complain/remark/moan) that Dennis "only gave" JY one song on Edge, as opposed to two that Tommy "let" him have. Seemed pretty even to me - If Tommy's now the "recognizable voice" of Styx, he would have the dominant number of songs on the album (six, if you include the shortened version of "Foolin' Yourself"), then everyone else got 2. Actually, I sorta count "Yes I Can" as a duet because both Tommy and Glen sing throughout most of the entire song.
So, we have:
Tommy 5.5
Glen 2.5
JY 2
Gowan 2
BillyBob 1

I guess "the book" isn't a dictionary.

Yeah, there were. I'm talking strictly lead singing here.

That's they were watch the spelling please
Monker is around
Yes all the songs were credited as being written by Styx, but it was also said that the person that sang the song is the one that brought the basic framework to the band.
The crediting of Styx as the writers was done to show they all had input into the songs in some manner shape or form.
[/quote]Exactly. Unlike EotC, where IMO, it doesn't sound like JY had hardly any input on the songs, except for Homewrecker. That is why I have always felt that Edge sounds the least Styx'ish of any Styx album to me.

11 years, baby. Gowan has been singing for Styx almost as long as DDY did.

Be very careful going with Higgy, Bull. Higgy's the only one to bring up fisting on this board for years.

How did you come to the "continue to" and "threads conclusion? I brought up the "new Styx greatest hits" from several months ago (hardly 5-6 years) and those one. Way to exaggerate.
