I was hooked after that show ,

Who's BTO? LOL Are they still around??

I was hooked to Styx (before 1999 - LOL) after I heard "You Need Love" when I was 6 years old. Now my kids have been hooked on Styx since they were babies, well actually before - LOL

If you know the date or have the old ticket stubs of all those old shows, you should pass them to styxfanNH so he can add them to his site:

I didn't see Chicago Stadium on there.

Born for Adventure is such a killer song.

I wish I had kept all my Styx Ticket stubs. My first Styx show was Crystal Ball and I was just 12. I wish I had been smart enough back then to save the stubs. I have only managed to save from Kilroy up to this year's tour, including Dennis' solo show last year. I do have an original Paradise Theatre tour jacket framed. I saved it all these years. And I have managed to get a JY guitar pick and a Tommy guitar Pick from various shows when they threw them out into the crowd. I got lucky to get one of each. My ex wife caught the Tommy pick and I still have it. At least she was good for something!!

Styx has always blown away the other bands in the buildings. I remember Tommy saying that when Styx was still an opening act in 1976 that they would be the band that would come in and eat the headliners lunch! Pretty much steal away the crowd. He was absolutely right!

STYGIANMAN, you're lucky to be able to go to shows when you were 12!!! I was always grounded so I had to wait until later in life!! - UGH

Which Dennis solo show did you see last year?

You are SO lucky to have the Paradise Theater tour jacket!! I have a Dennis solo one from last year. I wear it a lot when I go out, especially shopping and to concerts - LOL

I have a few Tommy and JY picks too, I gave them to my oldest when he plays his guitar. I think I have a few others saved.

I was at the Sacramento show. Dennis had a concert planned for Cupertino California, which is 5 minutes from my house, but it got cancelled, so I drove to Sacramento instead. I didn't see any tour jackets at that show, but I bought the Domo Arigoto Tee-shirt. I have my PT jacket framed and hanging in my office at home. My Ex used to call it my "Styx" room.
Lots of good stuff in that room I have collected over the years.

It's the fans who act like whiney babies who can't get what they want. It's the bands who act like they are living life and move on from things and people they no longer want to be involved with.

froyline, if you say I'm stupid, it must be true.

By "there" own choice...the ones that whine (not bitch) are the ones who DON'T give them any money.

I guess you would not know seeing you don't have a job.

LOL. Just cuz that current bit of info is not on MySpace doesn't mean I don't have a job. Just cuz I'm stupid does not mean I'm ignorant to what some psycho may do with that bit of info.

Besides, my job is to be your bitch...and you pay me very well, daddy. The benefit package is also very large.

Yea bands like the current Styx have moved on and because of it so have the fans who pay them , Only a few followers like yourself Adam and Darren are left .

That's fine with me. Sorry, you can't get what you want. You can spank me if you think it will make you feel any better.

I thought all of those songs were about DDY too at first. Actually Killing the thing you love is a very old song dealing with the Lennon assasination. Kiss Your ass goodbye is about dying. Glen took great pains explaining this song line by line on his website to a couple of over anxious fans. The TS songs on Cyclorama might be about DDY. I never really heard him asked or deny, especially that opening track about doing things my way and of course the classic Slingblade how come Brad Pitt has my woman classic...BP. Right up there with come sail away huh?
I read all of those old interviews with Glen about his comments, while he was in Styx he seemed to be towing the company line didn't he. Lets all slam Dennis, you know the way the reluctant one still does. Funny how his tune seemed to change after his departure from the band, and now look he is doing a couple of shows with Dennis. Hmmmmm, I wonder who the real control freaks are in this band

Adam: Yeah. Oh, and the cable TV Network who just broadcast Styx's New Year's Eve performance all over the frickkin' country. Besides us, there's really no one interested. Oh, except at least 50% of those who post here. Just us. And whoever those screaming people on the Arch Allies DVD are. That's all. Oh, and the audiences in Europe and Japan.

My Styx room is filled with pictures and posters. The posters that used to come out to promote the albums. I used to get them from tower records or I would ask A&M records for them. I have EOTC, Kilroy, Paradise Theatre and Grand Illusion. Oh, and Brave new World, which I got from CMC.
I have a framed Paradise Theatre tour jacket, my guitar picks and all the ticket stubs I have managed to save. I have 2 CD covers signed by Dennis..I think they are Cornerstone and Grand Illusision.

We have another Jimmy on the board!! What a great name!! My youngest is a Jimmy, named after JY (LOL)

Sounds like a real nice Styx room!! I'm looking for more posters for our rec room when it's finished. I have the big Pieces of Eight one and the Grand Illusion poster from the album. I have a few trade ad's too that are pretty nice. I just have to get those framed. I have my tickets stubs, somewhere. I have 4 of my old battered albums signed by Dennis & JY in 1990. My Grand Illusion still has duct tape on it, pretty sad -LOL I'd love to have the Paradise Theater tour jacket!!!

My original POE poster is also old and full of duct tape! I found a new
poster on ebay and have it mounted. But I will always hold onto the original poster. That sucker is 28 years old now!

My Paradise Theatre jacket looks like something straight out of the 80's.
It is silver and has the big Paradise emblem on the back. It looks like one of those Member's only jackets! I have it in a big glass frame.

By the way, here is my top 5 favorite Styx songs. Probably different than most of the rest of you.

1. Borrowed Time
2. Love in the Midnight
3. Castle Walls
4. Snowblind
5. Queen of Spades

There are about 50 other songs tied for 6th!!
