Love the ticket, Suite! I have seen several of these for "other concerts" as well!

IMO it would be very uncomfortable for me to see Dennis and JY on stage together. BUT, after watching that Borders show again and again, I can see Dennis & Tommy on stage. IMO

DAMMIT I miss their music together and their harmonies!!! UGH

IMO, You know what's sad to some people, IMO, I bet any money that Dennis wouldn't mind having Gowan up there on the keyboard while Dennis sings center stage with Tommy and Glen. Just so they don't spin like wildman, that's still creepy. I can see Dennis on the Grand Piano playing too. Dammit! IMO

Bugsy, when I saw that ticket going around the other Styx boards I thought that was such a cool thing, LOL

I'd like to see the men mend their fences...and I do sincerely realize it is a business...but beyond them mending fences, I've no interest in seeing them reunite for a concert. Do I miss the harmonies...sure. But I find myself quite jaded about the idea of a reunion given everything that has surfaced. I speak only for myself here, but the idea of reuniting would seem quite hollow to me. I also realize I am in the minority here and do not expect anyone else to share that viewpoint.

I understand your viewpoint and it makes sense

I would like to see a reunion but would not be to thrilled to see JY

Glen Chuck Todd Dennis and Tommy forget the big mouth
I would be all for that.

Froy I'm officially really pissed off at you totally! You don't have any credit, nice try though, you just don't want to pay the actual cash that you owe me. Thanks a lot. By the way did you receive your Roger DVD yet?

Yes, it could happen and it just might with Gowan and Dennis on stage in 2007. Center stage in the spotlight would be Dennis, Chuck and Tommy. If JY publically apologizes and changes his tune, he might be up there too. Todd and Gowan up there too. Sometimes if you market this and try to please ALL fans in North America it could work.

See Gowan didn't do anything TO Dennis, he was hired as a replacement, remember this is a business.

There wouldn't be a tour, just a few Midwest dates for the anniversary of The Grand Illusion, tv special sponsored by VH1 Classic of course and the DVD after, with of course behind the scenes of Styx and yada, yada, yada..............

Ah, this is all coming more clear in the Crystal Ball.............

Have to agree here. If this reunion does happen, I won't expect DDY to play a lot of keys. I would be shocked if there wasn't another keyboard player on stage.

EDIT: Gowan or DDY's current keyboard player would have the leg up because quite frankly, they know the parts. I would expect DDY to play stuff like the small solos on the OB, but that's it.

If you read back on my posts from the last 3 years, I change week to week on what I want or how I feel about a reunion.

I just want and to see Dennis and Tommy together up on stage harmonizing and singing the songs that I love.

I do love how things are, current Styx doing what they're doing and of course Dennis on his own putting on great shows, making tv & movie appearances, who knows if any of that would've happened if he was still in Styx. I mean look at how he's in demand in Canada, I mean WOW!! That just floors me!

If I take out this whole mess like nothing happened, I would love to see all of them on stage again. Sometimes it's great not to know what happened and just enjoy the music live!

No your not
BTW you bet me 1000 that Dennis would play a show with Light UP
Never saw that cash but oh well

By the way did you receive your Roger DVD yet?

Never Bought it
My version is so much better.
Did you get one ?

Yes, it could happen and it just might with Gowan and Dennis on stage in 2007.

Im sorry but Gowan and Dennis will never take the stage together
There is absolutly no reason what so ever for this to happen.

See Gowan didn't do anything TO Dennis, he was hired as a replacement, remember this is a business.

And now the guy he replaced is back so what the hell is he needed for
Sorry it makes no sense at all IMO .

I LIKE what DDY is doing now. I do not want that to change either. Sadie is right. Many of us are, and have been, in agreement on this.

He is doing quite well solo, and if some others want to tag along, I have no control over those kinds of decisions. But for me, I am perfectly happy with what Dennis is doing now.

I'm a pretty smart guy and I can't figure out exactly who JY needs to apologize to. Who are we to decide that his bitter feelings are wrong? I've been in business arrangements where I've come away bitter as well and always with good reason. It's never a good when you feel you've been screwed over. If someone asks me why I'm pissed I do not pull any punches. Am I wrong? Nope.

Same thing with Dennis and JY. While most of us wish JY would take a bit more of the high road I certainly can empathize with the way he is feeling. There's no way I'd judge JY on his feelings and how he chooses to act on them.

I personally think that if there is any apologizing to do it had better involve more than just JY. Certainly there is plenty of blame to go around.

One other thing. While you may see Tommy and Dennis onstage together at some point, there's no way they will take the stage as Styx unless JY is either there, or JY gives his consent. Styx reuinion without JY? Not a chance. Well, unless he dies or something.

I think it's somewhere inbetween. I'm not saying JY has to apologize, but I think that JY is bitter because let's face it - he didn't make the lion's share of the money. He didn't write the hits. He gets album residuals which, except for Greatest Hits, aren't much these days, and money from touring. DDY doesn't want to tour 200 days a year. Hence, conflict.

I am not saying the problem is that simple, but I would argue it's a big part of it. He is just as guilty for saying Styx rocks now just as he was in letting "Babe" or "The Best of Times" get recorded snd released. He can have his opinion, but when they were on the top of the world, they didn't publicly decry the music they recorded, did he? No - the check cleared every Friday.

It'd be one thing if JY said, "I never loved 'Babe', but it was a hit for us and we played it. I'm glad we're giving it a rest." He's stating his dislike without slamming Styx fans who may like it. Instead, we get what we have been getting from him in some interviews. He's entitled to express himself however he pleases, but after 7 years, can we stop it?

One solution that differs, that may work.
Styx could tour their 200 odd shows as they like to do.Dennis could be part of 50 or so of those gigs a year.Alternate cities over the years.
Dennis could carry on what he likes to do on the side, like CN idol ,Duets or whatever he fancies.
That way they might not get on one anothers nerves, but still enjoy one anothers company somewhat ,and relive the old days.

Sorry Great Dane not going to work
There will be lawsuits up the ying yang
People saying were is Dennis this is not what I paid for

No way this works

The ticket would have to say NO Dennis or YES Dennis

Sure you would know if it was Styx/Dennis or Styx no Dennis before you bought your ticket. No secrets.
If both parts agree on said arrangement ,there should be no lawsuits.

Too simplistic, and quite frankly, they would have done it already. It's called the summer shed circuit, and seems to work for most. Quite frankly, I tend to agree with Froy here. To put the burden on fans to check to see if it is a DDY or no DDY show is ridiculous. And ... what if DDY gets sick on a night he's supposed to be there, so they go on and do the "other" show?

Also, do you think that Gowan would do every other show, too? It's not fair to him either.

There are way too many complications for this to ever be either practical or effective.

Okay, you are WAY too funny!!

Like you'd pass that show in Wisconsin!! I'll remember that!!! LOL You know it would be a GREAT show!! They're even going to bring a few of the "treasures" out too!! :D

Dennis, Tommy and Glen with the harmonies!! Oh yeah baby, it's going to be GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!

The rumor I heard is that Tommy and DDY will reenact that spine tingling moment when they talk on stage for 20 minutes about a robot while Tommy holds a duffle bag and DDY holds a plastic mask! They will even go as far as to cancel the rest of the show because the projector wont work. Yes…those were the days! :P

You are just bitter because you know how much they suck without DDY.
