I gotta say that it is precisely this type of pointless meandering thread that keeps me and several others from contributing more regularly. I have lurked for the most part for almost four years now, although I just started posting in the last 6 months or so. The sad thing is the message board taint has extended over to the main board, which is where I get most of my musical info since the bands Andrew covers get press virtually nowhere else. I have found more and more that my desire to even visit this site at all is dwindling. I speak only for myself of course, but think about the number of regulars there were here in the spring that have either gone completely or have reduced their posts to a trickle. Hopefully it's only the dark before the dawn.

Though I can respect your opinion I do
see this another way......
While some may look at the harsh posts
and sarcasm in a negative way I see it
as a good avenue to get Andrew's site more and
more visual spectators as well as posters.
We all know that negativity and arguments get
attention and that the sweet sugary postings found
elsewhere on the net get old after a bit.
It may get ugly around here and a bit slow at times
but from what I've seen, most folks seem to
be interesting, helpful and even kind.
Besides, Sir Wombat gets the best scoops on the
music we love.
Like yours, this is just my two coppers worth.
As an added measure in hopes that you continue
posting around here.....

Many have asked you how do you know Perry will never return and you never gave an answer.
Now Im stating that this JRNY is not even JRNY and again you walk away and use the banging your head against the wall spin.

Fact is STYX JRNY FOREIGNER and VAN HALEN (maybe) all are in the same boat.
1 or 2 members parading around using the name and there meal tickets are not even in the band.

I wish he'd at least come to the table with something other than, "all classic rock bands existing without all the original members are frauds". When you read Froy's posts you notice that according to him anything Styx or Journey produces sucks simply because Dennis DeYoung and Steve Perry aren't in the bands.

if I might interject for a second and say that just because someone's posts are tiresome or boring, doesn't make their posts worthy of being deleted. I don't know the specifics of the story between Andrew and Froy, but if Froy's posts are being deleted simply because people are tired of reading the usual tripe (which I can empathize with greatly, believe me), I think that's wrong. Posts or members that are offensive, abusive, or hurtful in nature should be deleted, IMO.

I respect Andrew even if I don't always agree with him. I've spoken to him on the phone in the past and he's a stand up guy. I can understand sometimes posts need to be removed depending on content - but that decision to do it shouldn't be an easy one. In any event, despite my sometimes vocal critisism of Andrew, I think he does a great job overall - so cheers to you bro - and thanks for the forum. We're a bit vocal at times, but I think we've found a way to disagree and debate without being insulting to one another. I know it's not always been that way.

I gotta go for now. I'm late for my latest dose of DeYoung Kool-Aid so I need to go to the store and buy some. I need to be sure I'm doped up on it Do I need to bring back any Journey/JSS Kool-Aid or JY Kool Aid for anyone while I'm out?

I have always praised Augeris JRNY simply because Perry refused to go back with the band
The years it took made me say forget it
Get on with JRNY

Now is a different ball game
We are seeing the same thing with Soto who I think is a great guy and a great singer
