Aerosmith, Circa 1978...I have the stub ( and stubs for about 50 other shows ) stashed away somewhere

Ticket cost was $6.50, other than being jumped in my seat by my date   it was a forgettable show.

My first real concert was:

RUSH

Saturday, October 9, 1982
Milwaukee - Mecca Arena

(yes, I do have the ticket stub) :D

I can't wait to see them in a few weeks again :)

What a pathetic first concert experience.

Really? Didn't seem that way.

What shirt did you wear to that one?

I didn't wear one at all. I got my first shirt after the show which was the one with tommy/jy on the front and styx north american tour '04 on the back. And in case anyone's wondering your's truly is no longer unemployed. I have another job now.

It was GREAT :) I've seen pretty many Rush shows and have never been disappointed :)

I'm going through a pile of ticket stubs and also found:

RUSH

Monday, March 24, 1986
Milwaukee, Mecca Arena

Ticket was only $14.50 for a floor seat, row 4!

At the 1982 concert, same area the ticket was for $12.50

Ahh Suite, you lucky you! Ya beat me by 4 years on Rush. But I did see them on the Power Windows Tour(just like you)
They were at Spectrum on 4/16/86 with Blue Oyster Cult(more COWBELL!) Wish I had seen the Signals Tour!

The Stampeders at a pancake breakfast when I was about 10 or 12. First official concert was April Wine in 1973 or 74 at the Kinsmen Fieldhouse in Edmonton. Not a great venue but the show was awesome.

First Styx show, 1981 at the Edmonton Coliseum. Next Styx show, 2001 at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. Next Styx show, Oct. 1/07 at Rexall Place (formerly the Edmonton Coliseum) with Def Leppard. Can't wait!!!

They need to come here more often!

I am a lurking new guy, but I like this topic. My first concert was when I was 11 years old - the Cyndi Lauper "Fun Tour '84". I guess it wasn't the most rockin' first concert - but it was still one of the best!

I rank it up there with U2's Zoo TV tour, Kansas's In The Spirit Of Things tour (wins for most underrated), and Public Image Ltd's 9 tour.

Bottle? I think Gary was doing some hard drugs. Even so, Richrath was the best part of that band. Even stoned.

Keep the giggles to a minimum please, mine was.........
Kenny Rogers.
I believe it was in 1980 at The Joe Louis Arena.
5th row and still the best seats I have ever had to a show.

Genesis @ the Spectrum in Philly, September, 1986. I think the 16th, but not sure. Ticket was $16.50 I believe. It's a far cry for what I'm spending this year to see them!

well, if we want to get technical, my parents took us to see the beach boys, kenny rogers, dr hook, jan & dean, sha-na-na, tony orlando & dawn, the osmonds etc during the late 70s. but my first REAL rock concert (sans parents) was BOC in 81.

I was at that show! Remember it well! It was my first STYX concert. My first concert, period, was Huey Lewis and the News in 1988, at Poplar Creek.
