The McCain camp has been discreetly tip-toeing on a knife's edge of race baiting for sometime.
Think back to when he accused Obama of playing the "race card" for saying he looked different than other faces on our currency.
A harmless groaner to be sure, but by accusing him of using the "race card," McCain effectively found a backdoor way of injecting race into the election.

This is bullshit. Sorry, but you liberals are the ones playing the race card, not the conservatives.

Obama "I don't look like the other presidents on the dollar bill" - HE WAS PLAYING THE RACE CARD! Give me a break

Here is what you can't call Obama or else you are consider a racist.
- You cannot use his middle name
- You cannot say that his policies are socialistic in nature
- You cannot say he is inexperienced
- You cannot say he was a community organizer
- You cannot say he was educated in a Muslim school
- You cannot say his father was a Muslim
- You cannot discuss Jeremiah Wright and his slurs on America
- You cannot discuss Bill Ayers the unrepetant terrorist

And the list goes on and on and on.....It's backwards racism - you cannot say anything or else you will be called a racist. McCain can't go anywhere near Jeremiah Wright or else the liberal media will call him a racist. It is unreal how backwards this has become. Almost any criticism of Obama is automatically called out as racist somewhere, somehow.

And just to show what a double standard is going on here, I want you to consider this...

What if John McCain has blurbed a book, sat on committees, and kicked off a political career in the house of a known, unrepentant abortion clinic bomber? What do you think the reaction would have been? Now compare that to what the reaction (or lack thereof) has been in the Ayers case.

That's what I thought.

This is funny - A Brit trying to remotely make any type of rational opinon on something that goes on in Alaska. Give me a break.

Maybe you wouldn't be so against it if you learned what wolves do up in Alaska to the Caribou and other wildlife. Maybe you wouldn't be so against it if you understood that wolves in Alaska are significantly overpopulated and often end up starving for weeks in much pain until they eventually die after weeks if not months of misery. Maybe you wouldn't be so against it if you realized that this is yet another exaggeration by the mainstream media to play the "she is so cruel she kills animals" story.

Maybe if you'd get off your British elitism and try to understand this country a bit better, you'd stop making such ignorant statements.

How about Palin's views on global warming, isn't it a bit scary that she thinks man has nothing to do with this?

It was unfairly whipped out against Bill Clinton during the primaries, distorting his "fairy tale" comment, but aside from that, I haven't seen it.

It's a disarming and humorous line. Nothing more. The McCain camp leaped on it to roil the sediments of racial division.

You've conflated a host of different things, some valid, some not, and many having nothing to do with race at all.

As Tani stated before, she ordered a slaughter of 150 of 200 wolves in the area. They were *not* over populated. They have killed caribou, but not enough to merit these kind of slayings. It wasn't a lopsided ratio. The reasons given were nothing more than excuses for someone who has elitist trophy hunters in her pocket, period. Clearly, she sees them as a nuisance, I get that, but it's more of a personal issue than an environmental one.

I will say for the record that this is NOT my top priority when it comes to voting, however. Just because I can't stand the woman doesn't mean I think she's the worse of the two evils. I'm still weighing the pros and...well, mostly just cons of the situation on both sides of the fence.

But um, how is saying Obama's inexperienced make someone a racist? Do tell.

Bush , I guess was "experienced" where's he take us?
Reagan was supposedly unexperienced.
I think I'd rather have a young progressive thinker in Office as opposed to some one who is out of touch on many facets.

I think our choices are good.

They are both GREAT GREAT Americans who realize that much is broken.

But can they fix it????

They both better realize that our GREATEST threat to entire nation is our imigration policy.

Joke all you want about this but it has completely ruined the education system in our border states, and its trickling north.

It's costing our nation trillions of dollars and is the BIGGEST reason our health care costs are where they are.

Then you must and know for a fact that the hundreds of Paco's and Jaques who have snuck into our country. Then one day the real problem will become that Paco is really Saddam & Jaques is really Ackmad. They along with their hundreds of buddies hate the west, espically the US.

We cant afford ANY of this.

Well, terror-loving terrorist paranoia aside, this is actually one issue I am totally in agreeance with McCain/Palin on. The illegals need to GO. Forget the line. Just GTFO.

I will say that I DO think we should concentrate on helping countries like Mexico rebuild so that their citizens don't *have to* flee to the U.S. to survive. I strongly believe that it would cost us a fraction of what it costs to support the illegals, and it would be more productive in the long run. Of course, if the world would only do what I thought it should, we'd all be better off, now wouldn't we? ;-)

The terroist threat is soooooooooo damn real and its happens daily.

In Laredo & Eagle Pass,TX alone the Border Patrol have caught over 100 suspious (non mexicans) trying to cross the border since 9-11. Some of them sit in Guantanamo Bay as we speak.

These are facts. Thats just two areas, & these are the ones who have gotten caught. Think about the ones who have made it. I wonder what some of them are doing now?????

We better wake up quick!!!

Who we gonna blame when ALLLLLL this border shi t completely blows up in our faces???

This is the TOTAL reality of our border policy.

Nothing we have today will even compare what we are about to let happen.

P.S. I agree with what you say about helping Mexico, BUT as long as the drug lords & the Mexican Mafia are basically in charge there it would be throwing money away. The corruption in that country is beyond belief. Its a shi t hole.

That's funny....Uh, thanks? uh, no? I don't know? LOL...That was my costume for the Halloween gig our band played Saturday night. It was awesome - I was like a celebrity. Hilarious. I sang Madonna's "Hanky Panky" and walked around asking all the men to spank me telling them "this is how we get votes in Alaska." Then I dedicated "You're So Vain" to Barack Obama. It was too much fun. The only drag was that my up'do fell flat because of humidity. Bummer.
