Seems to me he has the balls not to be concerned about it. It is very diplomatic, letting the listener decide if they like them or not.

He's also intelligent and confident enough to know that anyone with part of an ear would prefer him on his own songs. He is one of the greatest singers of all time. That's pretty tough to beat.

When I met Dennis a few years back 2006 or 7, he was very nice. AND I was wearing a Styx shirt. He made a comment about there being one in every crowd (the shirt). I came back as wearing it honor of Styx last great tour (RTP). He joked about talking dirty to him somemore. Funny guy. He sang to my wife, and my wife and his talked for a minute. But he was really nice.
