I believe the promoters asked him to play it. Plus, he was in Europe and that was arguably the biggest Styx song there.

Much like Gowan sang "Babe" in Japan. Sometimes you just do things like this. It's business.

Step down from the ledge folks and take care of your twisted panties. It's just music.

Speaking of Gowan singing babe was that memorable event ever caught on tape?

If I were Lawrence, I would have spent a lot of my own personal wealth to ensure that all existing footage of that was eradicated. Using "Best of Times" and "Rockin' The Paradise" as my guide, I'll say that his rendition of "Babe" was pretty bad.

Unfortunately for him, it was caught on a bootleg.

Have you heard it? If so, what was it like?

Would you REALLY want to listen to it?

Personally no but, just merely curious if someone from this board heard it and what they thought of it.

If you've heard him do "The Best of Times" from the Evening with Styx tour, it gives you an idea of how ... er ... not good it is. It circulated awhile back and was sold as a boot in Japan.

Not really worth seeking out unless you're a masochist or completist.

I have it somewhere but i don't have my own cpu right now so i can't post it. Besides a minor screw up (imo) on the intro it sounds the same as his version of rockin the paradise etc

I thought so. I consider myself somewhat of a completest when it comes to Styx. Even so I can't bring myself to personally own it or the others you mentioned.
