I tried to be civil... some people can't take constructive criticism.

It was on the radio prior to Desert Storm, however the song did get a tremendous lift from the "mix". I seem to recall reading somewhere that originally Dennis didn't want the song used with the "mix".

When I heard it on the radio it was always played without the mix. And, like Deejay, I heard it before it ever became associated with the war.

Perhaps it was a bigger hit because of the association, but it was getting airplay where I live before that time.

To get back on track with this topic, and since I somehow over looked it.
Styx will always be known as Dennis' band, unless they have some hit, with Larry on vocals. Which I don't think will happen. Not saying that to take away from the current line up, because, I don't think Dennis will have a hit song on the radio either. Wish both would, because I like what both are doing, wish DDY was doing more though. Cyc, and BNW were not hits. BNW even had DDY on it. I thought Cyc was the better cd of the two. And they both had songs, that if this was 20 years ago would have had hits on them.
If you have ever seen my cd collection, you would know that I am a DDY fan, and I do miss him from the group, and touring with Styx and solo. I can say solo since he NEVER comes to my area, where as Styx has ever year since 96, 97(last two with DDY), 99,00, 01, 02, 03, 04. If you haven't seen Styx in concert go, it is a very rock show!-ERIC
