Well I must say, this is a pleasant surprise for Styx and I say congrats to you Styx! As someone mentioned earlier, the big test will be how they stand next week. I have seen it far too often to push a veteran band like Styx for the first week then drop them like a bad habit the next. I believe the samething happened to Def Leppard on the 'X' album - which was unfortunate!

Me personally, I'm not too thrilled with this album, but anything to get some respect going toward the older generations of rock and roll would be most appreciative.

I agree. I honestly didn't expect any kind of Billboard appearance. I'm happy for Styx and I'd be equally happy for Dennis in the same position.

In a related story (update on Friday), the Mediabase charts show a drop in the numbers on the BBT songs they are playing.

My guess is, some of this stuff will go up and down for awhile yet. Walrus dropped off the Mediabase chart and then came right back.

Personally I think they need to release one of the Tommy-led songs as a single next and support it with a video.

Give us all a break from Gowan...please! OK, give me a break from Gowan. I know he has a lot of fans here.
