I hope you had a great time
But lets face it we all want to know what the setlist was.
When I post a review I always post the setlist sometimes right after the show at 1 oclock in the morning.
We heard all about everything except the setlist.
Get to it.

Anyway I would imagine more shows like this is the future and this could be a door opener for Dennis even if its a small one.

The doors already been open.

Thats not the door I was talking about.

Like would piss off JY to no avail and he would be running to his lawyers you could bet that.

You know what, who cares what JY thinks, I mean really. They're doing their own thing and Dennis is doing his.

Great point but you know even though they are doing there own thing they do not like the thing Dennis is doing
And thats getting more attention than STYX who tried every which way to be famous.

Hello all!

I made home safely. The rain waited till I pulled into my driveway then just POURED the rest of the day and night.
It was a great pleasure meeting everyone to experience such an awesome show.
Thanks for your connections getting us backstage Laurie! You're a sweetheart!
Thanks for the fries and ginger ale Mike. And I was glad I was there during the historic moment when you met Glen! That girl who said hello to you pulled up beside me on the way home and asked where she could find you!! NO, just kidding! LOL! Just testing to see if you're all still awake!
Thanks again to you Mark for the Edge of the Century pass!
And I enjoyed meeting you too Ron and your wife and daughter. Us PA people must be the biggest fans since there were more of us in the group. HA HA!
And Kathy, I really enjoyed talking to you about our music and wish we could've talked more!
And Amy and Terry, you rock too! Between us all we had most the U.S. represented!
Special thanks to Tim for slipping us all in and being so wonderful to us all. And to Dennis and Suzanne for putting up with us all! Us HARDCORE people! LOL!
I'm currently putting together my review. Glad to get the setlist in correct order. I'll include that too.
Have a safe voyage home y'all!!!

I think this is what the set list was and I'M OKAY WAS TAKEN OFF DARN IT

Anyhoo, I just forced Bugsy with cookies to get the list.

Here you kids go:

The Message
Grand Illusion
Lady
Lorelei
Desert Moon

Pieces of Eight - Fricken rocks
Show Me the Way - standing O's and that's standing ovations - LOL

Looking for someone with an acoustic guitar and OH MY GOD, Glen comes out from backstage with an acoustic guitar, who would have thought??? Then they sit on their stools just like old friends.

Went right into:

We Can Work It Out - unfrickenbelievable, do you get it???
All in a Day's Work - unfrickenbelievable part 2
Watch The World - Glen solo, fricken beautiful
All For Love - Blew the fricken walls off both places

Mr. Roboto - Original Roboto Mask
Don't Let It End
Light Up
Castle Walls

Guitar Solo - Tommy, not Shaw
Glen came out and stayed the rest of the show, fricken great the second guitar and of course Glen and Glen did background vocals on all of these

Edge of The Century
Rockin' The Paradise
Suite Madame Blue
Babe
Best of Times
Come Sail Away

Are we talking about the unfrickenbelievable Message as in the Pieces of 8 cd version?
That sounds great if true

It was a collective decision to not publish the set list after the first night, because we didn't want to spoil it for those that were only going to the Atlantic City show.

I've returned home from NJ now. I'm going to go enjoy my family a bit, but I really wanted to say this.

To Suite - you're amazing. The things you did for all of us this weekend really demonstrate the meaning of "friendship". It means a lot to me when someone will go so far out of their way to make something happen for what really amounts to total strangers. What you did for me and the others who went to the two shows this weekend is not something I will soon forget and you have my undying gratitude.

I have a lot of memories that I will cherish for years to come from this weekend. Anything negative said by people who weren't there should be taken with a grain of salt... because if you were there, then you very likely would be feeling the same way I am now.

I would hope DDY would have let Glen do a little more since he used his name in the ads along with the name Styx as usual.

I would bet that JY slapped a cease and dissist order on them playing anything from EDGE 2 that is why they did not play any of those songs.

I was stranded in the airport for like 4 hours or so. I had a blast meeting tons of people. I went to the airport bar (only had 6 drinks- LOL) with one of the great people I met and ran into:

Jim Cramer from CNBC. What a fricken great guy. He and everyone else in the bar was making fun of me and my Packer Favre jersey - LOL I talked to him for a while and now I know what I'm going to buy in the stock markets tomorrow - LOL

I took me off the picture because I look like hell.

Wow... Jim Cramer is frickin awesome. I love that guy also. He appears on the Glenn Beck show that I listen to on the radio occasionaly. He's highly entertaining.

Was this the Newark airport that you ran into him? I got there 90 mins early and still damn near missed my flight lol.

Yes, Dennis did treat Glen very good. Both were happy, both were excited.

I have not a clue what goes on behind the scenes. The one thing that I do know is that when Tommy first joined Styx( Crystal Ball ) Dennis ( group leader) let Tommy have the title track plus two other songs(album only had 7 songs total).

Dennis was somewhat a leader of the band, this is a long story and I'm not going to explain it, but it's in one of the interview's I did and it's explained there, I think - LOL Anyway, Tommy had songs on Crystal Ball, he was "taken" care of good and Glen was pretty much "taken" care of on the Edge. That one I know for sure and how Dennis pushed for "Love is The Ritual" to be released first which the record company told them no way, no way and no fricken way. But Dennis himself pushed for this to be released first.
Dennis did the exact same thing with Glen back for the Edge album.

Dennis CLEARLY was the superstar of Styx. Yet to the public ( album songs & concerts) he TOTALLY spread the wealth among the other members. He allowed Glen to shine 100 times more than Tommy and JY ever dreamed of doing.

I don't care what anyone says, but I feel that Dennis is the superstar when he was with Styx. When it came to some of the final decisions, overall he has oops, had a good heart and believed in the others in the band.

'We Can Work It Out'.... What a fantastic song to open with!!!!

The only clue that was given to me was there was going to be a song they played that neither wrote. It took me weeks, but the night of the show I thought it HAD to be a Beatles song. Just a guess. It was a perfect song to open the show with and to see their facial expressions and gestures was priceless.

I would sure love to purchase Glens new material is it on his website??, or was it a concert only sale??

I'll find out, but I'm pretty sure it will be available on website, if not already.

How awesome was Rik?? How long did he play for? What was his set list?

Rik is awesome, I love him so much. He had a short set list with just him and Dave. He played a few new songs and also "Magic Power", "Lay it On the Line" and "Hold On". I have the set list coming to me, plus other stuff.

What was Dennis/Glen set list??

I forgot to mention Rik. He was wonderful. Beautiful acoustic set from him and his partner. A couple (more?) straight guitar-only pieces that I loved.

Rik looked wonderful and was very cute onstage, especially when he had to put his glasses on to see the guitar fretboard dots.

His voice is out of this world good. I was just stunned! He rivals Dennis in purity, though no one can truly touch Dennis DeYoung in the vocal department.

Of course, everyone grooved to the Triumph songs and Rik was aware those were what people wanted to hear. "Magic Power" was just that -- Magic Power!

I would hope Rik opens for Dennis in the future. That was as entertaining a set as I have ever heard, despite the rudeness of the yak, yak, yakking crowd.

Who are you addressing here? I said I didn't think Glen got cheated, but I can see the difference between a "double bill" not really being a double bill and an established rock band not giving their bass player equal mic time. I hope that sort of frickin' explains it.

I'm glad to hear everyone had such a great time. Many of those there I already know and adore. From what I've heard, it sounds like I would have loved to meet you. It just wasn't in the financial cards for me at this juncture. There might be a next time, so if there is, maybe I'll see ya next time.

You know Zan, I always thought he was cute, of course. BUT when I got a really good look and stared at him, I was thinking OMG, he IS a hottie!!! He is SO nice too!! I always liked Glen even through all that crap from before. When I met him in 1999, he was so nice too.

I wish you there to see Ash's face when he was brought out for him!! That was one of the BEST highlights of the whole trip!!!!

Even though all that crap happened and how I feel, all the members of Styx have always treated me great. It's really hard to not like anyone.
