Yeah I ordered mine (same place) the day before release and have been wondering the same thing. Anyone?

I was just getting ready to post the same question. It says what, 5 to 10 days or something? I got an email confirming that the order was received... and it said I'd get another email when the CD shipped out. Now... this was 5-6 days ago, and I can't help but notice I haven't gotten the email saying it's even shipped yet. The 10 days will be up and it won't even have gone out yet...

So...you like it more than Cyclorama, but you don't know yet if it's DDY's best solo album...therefore you also like at least one of his other solo albums more than Cyclorama. Right?

Just trying to work out the math.

Everyone who pre-ordered from Amazon.ca (Canada) got theirs the week of release. I got mine on Thursday. It was amazing!

I noted on Amazon.com (US) that the availability date for the import has been moved up to July 2. I have no idea if this is the same for those CD'[s ordered from his website, but far be it from that site to impart that information.

That may be the case because I ordered the Soundstage DVD import from DDY's website, which was available at the time, and got it in about a week. They were quite efficient then.

I also ordered previosuly from DDY.com... that's where I got my Music of Styx CDs from. And again, yeah, that was a fairly quick order, within a week. Maybe importing or push-back dates are coming into play here, but something to that effect should be posted to let us know. All I know is it says it should arrive in 6 to 10 days (or whatever is said), and this is day 8 and no confirmation of shipping, or any word at all yet.

I´m current Styx supporter but there is big possibility that I may buy that new Dennis cd because it sounds damn good. I don´t see why you can´t support both sides although guys like Froy make it very difficult with their “You have to choose the side where you are standing”-attitude. I think the new Dennis cd only makes the fact more clear that it is in both sides interest to keep separate ways. Both camps are making good music so there´s no need for re-union.

ps. Gowan rules (Froy not)

There are no sides
Its Dennis the founder of the band and the 2 guys milking the name.
You follow them and you are a follower yourself
Be a leader stand up for what is right
Bottom line if there was no Dennis there would be no STYX period,

Name me one good song from Chuck
Name me one good one from Rickie
Gowan
and Shaw

Fact is ya can't

Both sides are not putting out good music
Dennis just blew them away.

I LIKED The Shit out of Cyclorama.

These Are the Times is one of JY's BEST songs ever. Captain America was a Typical JY song DDY or no DDY.

Everything All The Time ROCKS and is AWESOME!!

With all of the above being said I am liking DDY's new CD more & more with every spin. The only problem is that after listening to a song or two I ALWAYS go back and play Crossing The Rubicon. That has to be one of DDY's best songs EVER!!!

P.S. - Name me 1 good song from Chuck when Dennis was in the group??? Chuck never wrote or sang any songs? You must be HIGH! Whose Ricky?? Shit your STONED!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree that the DDY album gets better with repeated listenings. The more I listen to this one, if you take all of the good tracks both Styx and DDY have put on albums or compilations since 1996, I think you'd have a really strong Styx album. One of these eons I may take a cut at what that would look like.

Dennis Song to Suzzanne on this CD is called Breathe Again. I like it!

What is kind of funny is Dennis has a song on this CD called 'I Dont Believe In Anything'. He also has a song called 'I Believe In You'. So what does he believe in????

As for the CD it TRULY does get better with each spin. The song Rain does rock. But to me on the first few listens I kept hearing the song Fame in my head afterward. It might be something about the backing vocals. If this CD had Styx's backing vocals it would be a MONSTER. Still, it is VERY VERY good.

As for Crossing The Rubicon................................................... INCREDIBLE!!! Still I wish it were a little different. I wish it would of kept the same pace the entire song. The short Hip Hop part after the second chours I could do without. I also wish the guitar solo after the second chours would last for about two + minutes. Finally, the song ends tooooooo damn soon. After the third chours"As I Cross The Rubicon, I vow To carry on Come what may........ I wish he would have repeated it about 3 to 4 times before he ends it with It's OK.

When they start to play this gem in concert, this baby should last a good 12- 15 minutes. Maybe on the US version they will extend this song. In my opinion it should easily be a 10-12 minute song. Its a MASTERPIECE the way it is. Still it could be better. It ends waaaayyyyy tooo soon.

GREAT CD!!!!

P.S. I do hope that Dennis & Glen do go in and record a studio version of All For Love for Dennis's US version of One Hundred Years From Now. It's a damn good song that needs a CD home!

I agree that this CD gets better and better with each listen. I can't put my finger on why. The first few listens I hated Save Me, then I saw the video recording on the Inernet, listened to it some more and it grew on me big time.

Sometimes I feel songs that go on and on, can seem self-indulgent. I am one who feels “Crossing the Rubicon” is just right. And Yogi, I LOVE that changeup in the middle. Hip Hop? I don’t think so. And as it melds back into the melody of the song … really fabulous.

I am one who is NOT a fan of Dennis’ sentimental, sugary-sweet love ballads to his wife, but I actually like the two on this album. The rolling beat of “I Believe in You” with those great harmonies is really nice. “Breathe Again” is saved by spectacular harmonies, really gorgeous melody, and that very cool synth break towards the end.

In an interview, Dennis talked about “I Don’t Believe in Anything” a long, loooong time ago, before he had even had the platinum success with his live album and DVD in Canada and before this album was but a thought in his head. So I think that one has been around awhile. I think keeping that title and putting it on the album with “I Believe in You” is clever, but he may not have intended it that way. A bit contradictory, but I think there was a method to much of what is on this CD.
