Thanks for the laugh. Have you ever read these boards for any length of time?

As for class, both sides didn't do the best job of handling the situation early on - this is pre-lawsuit I'm talking about. Speaking as someone who got caught in the middle for a DDY interview I did, I can tell you it was ugly.

You know none of this is as cut and dry as some would make it out to be. Let's face it, when you have shared business interests and it isn't a voluntary severing of ties, sometimes the only way to get to resolution - for both sides - is through a lawsuit even though one side initiates it. I'm not defending what Dennis did and the results of the lawsuit are sealed, but it's clear both sides got something out of it in the end that worked. Since then, both Tommy and Dennis have toned down the rhetoric massively. JY is much better than he used to, but there's no pleasing some around here. Everyone is going to say something that will piss off a "camp" sooner or later, or say/do something that a "camp" with twist to mean something it doesn't. Welcome to the boards.

EXACTLY. Paul had to sue John, George, and Ringo because it was the only way for him to move on. Same with these guys. When asked, both McCartney AND DeYoung say "I wish there would've been another way, but there wasn't".

People just love to hate JY. I don't get that. If he's happy now, what's the problem? DeYoung has got to be a lot happier now with his wife onstage and still getting to perform AND to be his own man instead of trying to always compromise with JY and Tommy. I don't understand why this is such a big deal to fans. If you don't like the current incarnation of Styx or Dennis, don't buy tickets, don't buy albums. But to say how you hate the current Styx or Deyoung stuff and constantly respond in the negative to ANYTHING they do or at any mention of either one is just mental.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Again, it's downright dishonest and borderline sociopathic for JY to compare DDY to Michael Anthony. Here's some stats:

Michael Anthony (bass, backing vocals)
Songs written: 0
Songs co-written: 0
Songs sung:0 (not counting backing vocals)
Lyrics written: 0
Lyrics co-written: 0
Trips to rehab: 1

Dennis DeYoung (keyboards, vocals, songwriter)
Songs written: lots
Songs co-written: even more
Songs sung: about 75% of Styx's catalog
Lyrics written: about 75% of Styx's catalog
Lyrics co-written: lots
Trips to rehab: 0

Way to miss the point entirely.
