Monker"This video say's it all A terrible performance by both washed up singers.
Gotta love Cronins singing on the second tune wow is he done

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epo32RQ_Ybg

"Too Much Time" sounds great...Not Shaw/Blades, but nice harmonies....and Cronin doesn't sound that bad for an 80yr old man.

TMT Sounds like Shaw is drunk in fact he say's 12 o'clock news booze, After 30 years with this song this is what it has come down to?
Cronin sings with his NOSE he looks burned out from all the coke. He stopped singing from his gut and he let his nose take over,
Just awful

This one will make you puke

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3q80A3a188

Just want to tell stmonkey thanks for putting this on YouTube.

The only thing 'puke worthy' is the thought of froy spending time on YouTube trying to find embarrassing Styx moments. And, this is the worst you can come up with?

No this was just picked at Random Im sure I can find even more horrific soundboard clips.

Sounds like he is saying the 12 o'clock news booze.

No meth ad for me

can someone please get rid of this troll

Should we count your Chickenbeef posts or just the 72 against my 6200?

What difference does it make? Your 6200 posts are just the 6 or so points repeated 1000 times.

I agree...the only ones that I would criticize at all are the JY ones, and he never has had the best of vocals, IMO.

So what? Froy, you just posted a bunch of clips that don't support your argument at all. YOU are the embarrassment.

On the contrary Monkey they support my argument to the tee. Talk about embarrassment take a look at Gowan running around the stage playing Air guitar to songs he had nothing to do with. The guy sings into professional equipment and he sounds horrific. How can he go on stage and pretend to be a singer when he simply can't sing? Did you read the comments on You Tube? Almost everyone BLASTS Gowan. That's perfect ammo for my so called argument.

I have to say, that's the problem with stuff like YouTube. Every singer has good and bad nights (whether you like them - different story; not my point). When your worst performance may be captured by a cel phone (which won't help the quality of ANYTHING) and then immediately uploaded to YouTube or wherever, it's a far cry from years ago where you just read a review. Bootlegs were always underground and certainly fun, never really damaging.

I know as a performer myself it's a double edged sword.

Although look at Whitney Houston - she was brutalized (and rightly so) on her recent concert tour. That should be the ad for never doing drugs.

Valid point, but this was live on national TV with professional television and audio equipment.

And, an amateur recording it off of said broadcast and uploading it to YouTube where the quality is further compressed and degraded.

Really is that it BIG MAN ? Here is the same equipment with a different singer. Funny how he does not have the same problem

YouTube videos. Most of which I had not seen and I'm glad you posted!
Comments on above videos by over-zealous fans. They are the same type of people who post here. So what?
And, of course, you opinion of Gowan which is so biased that it is like the Pope commenting on his true feelings towards Satan. Who cares

Oh, please, this is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT CONCERT.

The Styx one sounds like it was taped to VHS and then badly transferred to digital. ALL the vocals and sound are screwed up...it even looks like the tracking gets thrown off at times. Whatever happened, it's not Gowan. That should be obvious to anybody with more then half a brain...but I guess that doesn't include you.

Kinda interesting on this how Gowan is obviously not playing the guitar. Looks like a doofus with it. Could you imagine Dennis walking on stage holding a guitar pretending to "rock out" during a non-keyboard song? Why didn't Gowan sing that song? It's a DDY sang song... ::shrugg::

Ironic too that Tommy sings...."I was so cool back in 65....I had my car and I made the scene..." Yeah Tommy, you were 12....really singing from the heart there....

Good ole Toph.
Well ,if numbers/ages,must fit,can we try this one?

'Lonely child,you make it easy.'

'You give me love like no one can.'

'My love,I'm your man.'

'Lonely child be my lover.'

'We'll make love in the morning light.'

Now ,I could have sworn that, when you are a child you are not a teenager yet.
Which must make you 12 or under.
So does the author like to ehh,be entertained by the younge ones?
Makes it pervy doesn't it.

'Author, author.'Who would that be?,Straight from the heart, you're right.

Answer here please.

My God froyline, are you this stupid? Take these and compare it to the first. You can tell the quality on these are a 100% better then the first one. The video on the first on is faded, jittery, and the sound is crap. These are clear and fine...and Gowan sounds fine.

Time stands still, baby when I touch you
I can't believe the way I'm feelin'
Please don't speak, it's taken me all this time
To find the strength just to say

That I never knew what love was til I met you
Never thought that I could act this way
But I'm still afraid to show how much I need you
Tell me, what makes a man like me this way

Carrie Ann, don't ask me why
Baby I work so hard just to hide my emotions
Carrie Ann, words can't explain
The way that I feel in my heart

Lovers' hearts never quite beat in time
They never find that perfect rhythm
You know I let you down many times
But this I promise to you
That I'll never lead you through doors of deception
I won't bind you to a chain of lies
Though I know my love for you won't be perfection
What I give to you will last all time

Carrie Ann, don't ask me why
Baby I work so hard just to hide my emotions
Carrie Ann, my words can't explain
The way that I feel in my heart

Take a little time to realize
I'll love you faithfully
Just take a little time and you'll see
That baby it's me

Carrie Ann, don't ask me why
Baby I work so hard just to hide my emotions
Carrie Ann, my words can't explain
The way that I feel in my heart

What's The Problem?

I can't see this being about his daughter you don't meet your daughter,

You're delusional if you think Gowan is going anywhere, Froy. I could see you complaining if you couldn't go see Dennis (whose show as it is now is probably closer to the was since 1996 or 1997), but thankfully we all have the option to see either or both. I'll be seeing both over the course of about a month. It's arguably one of the best shows Dennis has mounted since he went solo.

Now, also keep in mind beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some love Gowan. Others don't (such as yourself). Some like him, but not on all songs (count me in that camp). He's still a talented guy no matter what, even if you don't think he's right for Styx. He's done something I wish I could have done: made a career out of being a musician. He's had hits (albeit in Canada). So it's not like they found him in a street alley.

Also, I'll say it again - you can search YouTube all day long and find examples of nearly anyone these days having an off night thanks to cel phones and video capture. It's changed the way people think and react (sometimes I think for the worse).

Though I know my love for you won't be perfection
What I give to you will last all time

Carrie Ann, don't ask me why
Baby I work so hard just to hide my emotions
Carrie Ann, my words can't explain
The way that I feel in my heart

Take a little time to realize
I'll love you faithfully
Just take a little time and you'll see
That baby it's me

Carrie Ann, don't ask me why
Baby I work so hard just to hide my emotions
Carrie Ann, my words can't explain
The way that I feel in my heart

What's The Problem?

I can't see this being about his daughter you don't meet your daughter,

So Dennis is with Sue but making a song for Carrie Ann?
He does not recognize his daughter in public, maybe Sue is not Carrie Ann's mother.
Touching and chain of lies.
Thanx froy check mate Gowan lives on forever and Dennis gots a headache coming on from playing Tommy's songs.Wait and see.
There you have it.
Classy guy.
Jesus loves you ,but everybody else thinks you're a knob.
