I never got the impression that it was a double bill. It was promoted as "Dennis DeYoung with Glen Burtnik". It was pretty much announced on Dennis' official site that they would be performing together, but there was no clear indication of how much each artist would perform on their own, or even if Glen would do any material on his own. I'm sure there are Glen fans that feel he should have done more, but it was the reunion of the two artists that was the big draw for these shows. Glen being a Jersey guy does other shows as well that should satisify his local fans.

Yeah, I realize that too. I assumed (and you know what happens when you assume) it was a double-bill. Yeah, it was a DDY concert - with Glen Burtnik. I assumed that meant sharing the stage, even if Glen only sang a handful, but played guitar through the whole show or something. I enjoy Dennis's stuff for the most part, but I wouldn't ever travel great distances to see one of his shows. If I had done so for this show, as I am not a "local fan," I would have been disappointed Glen wasn't on more, and that's why I was relieved that I hadn't done so when Ash posted his review. Believe me, I tormented over travelling there for quite awhile, so it was nice to learn my decision not to go wasn't a total regret-fest.

Jodes actually posted this on Styxworld
----------------------------------------------
All For Love

Written By Glen Burtnik & Dennis Deyoung

From The "Son Of Edge" Demos 1991
---------------------------------------------
And we saw the dream before us
Like a vision from above
And we knew what we were there for
And we did it all
Tonight the streets are empty
No sign of life except for you and I
And as we walk in silence
I think of all the times we wondered why
Love always passed us by
Our fate was an anchor
Through the stormy seas
We never once gave up the dream
Because we believe

And we wore our shining armor
And we put on our fighting gloves
And we don't regret a minute
Because we did it all for love

And we face each storm together
As the nights were wild and rough
And we rose to every challenge
As we did it all for love
One chance was all we wanted
One shot to prove that we could make the grade
And though they called us crazy
And criticized us for all the plans we've made
Some how we made our way
The road wasn't easy
We had to do more then dream
And in the end we realized
Our star could rise

And we wore our shining armor
And we put on our fighting gloves
And we don't regret a minute
Because we did it all for love

It was all we lived and died for
It was all we were thinking of
And we made this vow forever
And we did it all for love
And we count the miles
Tears and smiles along the way
Now we know
that the sacrifice
was worth the price
We have it made!

And we wore our shining armor
And we put on our fighting gloves
And we knew what we were there for
Because we did it all for love

We saw the dream before us
Like a vision from above
And we don't regret a minute
And we did it all
For Love

Yes.. it's a great song.

Now you may ask, how did I get the lyrics when I wasn't at the show?

No I didnt' pull them out of my ass, or nor are my Jedi Mind powers that strong.

I guess that only means one thing doesn't it?

Thanks, NH, and Jodes for the lyrics. :D

Both of them spent a lot of time looking at them, posted on the floor at the front of the stage.
