Finally got my copy of Welcome to Hollywood. Jury is still out on this (that means I haven't listened enough to it yet to form an opinion with all the traveling I have been doing lately). The song Super boy did jump out at me at first listen and I can say that I like glen's version of KYAG better than STYX's version. The only song I didn't care for on first listen was when the shit hits the fan. As ususal, will listen several more times before I make up my narrow mind....

What do you think of Another & Bam?? I think Another is one of the best power ballads I have ever heard. Bam is one of the best songs PERIOD!!! Superboy, Welcome to Hollywood, All Thats Yet to Come, Kiss Your Ass, The Muse are unreal!!!! As for the Shit Hitting The Fan, I am not real big on that song, but the lyrics are pretty awesome and true to life. I wonder if Glen regrets the superman reference, now that Christopher Reeve has died. It is pretty insensitive.Still, it is one AWESOME CD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yogi:
I relistened to tracks 1 - 6 the other day and do like another and bam. The backing vocals on Bam are very reminiscent of the Bealtes Revolver period. Will try to relisten to the rest on the morning commutes. More to come. By the way, who is Superboy and Bam about? Any clues, I have not read his liner notes on the CD yet.

Personally, I think Superboy and Bam are about Tommy Shaw, and maybe even the Cornerstone thru Kilroy version of Styx.

I ve got an old MTV interview where I think Tommy is about to do a concert at Notre Dame University. This was during the Girls with Guns period. Anyway, they talked to Tommy's parents, neighbors, friends etc. It sure was predicted that he was going to be 'the next GREAT superstar'. He had the looks, voice, guitar, the chops etc.. Never really happened did it?? From Styx to Jerry Springer and Hollywood Squares. I'd bet those songs are about Him & Styx.

That CD just RULES!!! Glen is a true genius, I swear there has NEVER been a CD that I enjoy more!!! Do you realize in the song 'The Muse' he injects all of his albums names into that powerful uplifting song. Every songs lyrics on this CD are just incredible, and the music is TRULYGREAT!!

You know who should be nervous ? the current president of the Burtnik fan club ! It's obvoius to me Yogi is planning a coup de force, and will be seizing that office in the very near future !

Maybe they should step aside voluntarily, so no blood is spilled !
