BITS & PIECES

I AmThe Walrus debuted this morning around 9:30 am(central) on VH1 Classic.(They will show it again tonight around 9:30 pm) I broke down yesterday afternoon and upgraded my Dish Network Package. I REALLY thought the video was good. Gowan does have the chops. I thought Tommy looked and sounded real good. JY sounded great but I didnt think he looked all that great. He's puffy and kind of has a metalic look about him. I'm not trying to be funny, he does. Back to the video, it was great hearing the explanation of how it came about. The video is top quality and although it SURE does not sound like Styx, Gowan and the boys do that Beatles song justice. Styx's vocals have always been soooo sound they can probably do ANYBODY justice. I dont know how big I am going to be on their covers CD since JY said it will be made up of songs from the 50's and 60's. I'm not too big on that era, Beatles included.

When is a Taste Of Minnesota taking place?? Are Dennis and Roger paired, or are they on seperate nights? I saw REO and the Little River Band( same night ) there about 5 or so years ago and it was great!! Suite, Milwaukee to Minneapolis is 6 to 6 1/2 hours.

If the hockey strike doesnt end...... who cares..., because hockey is about to crank up in Bay City, Texas. I just purchased my kids first street hockey set. Sticks, nets and pucks. My neighbors are going to think I'm crazy. Long live Jude Drouin, Mike Antonvich, J.P., Cesar, The Gump, and The Espositos!!!!!!

I picked up REO's Essentials. It's a good retrospective. Variety Tonight was one of the best rockin tunes to not hit big.

Finally, round out your Christmas list with Glen's Welcome To Hollywood. You wont be disappointed. Its the best music since......... Equinox!!

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good analysis of the VH1C appearance, Yogi. Since you now have the video, I can erase the copy I made of that hour.

The video is well done (even thought it gives Suite and myself a headache watching it). I wonder what its future will be? My guess is it will get some play on VH1C during Classic/Current.

I did notice that Neo-Syx got an hour of time today, and Motley Crue got the lion's share of 6 hours of VH1Classic's time yesterday.

According to Froy, the Taste of Minnesota is July 4th?

If Dennis plays a few of these "Taste of" events, maybe he will put on a little weight. He could use it.

Merry, Merry, Happy, Happy back at ya!
