I just love "Unfinished Song", just thought I'd start the post with that - LOL

I just received this information that I can post to all the groups. (See my tagline at the bottom before any smart allecks make their comments on how I get my information)

Once I receive the information on the cities I'll pass it along

In support of the Wooden Nickel Recordings release on FEB 15, Dennis is going to perform in two major markets a show called "LOST TREASURES". These shows will be in very intimate settings. Two sets over 1 hour each with his band. It will be all Styx music and lots of classic rock. The shows will be this spring.

The set list will include "Lost Treasures such as UNFINISHED SONG (bonus track on Wooden Nickel release), BEST THING (first ever song DDY wrote and recorded with Styx) plus PIECES OF EIGHT, QUEEN OF SPADES, BORROWED TIME, CASTLE WALLS, ROCKIN THE PARADISE, SUITE MADAME BLUE, GRAND ILLUSION, LORELEI, BEST OF TIMES, COME SAIL AWAY, plus many more.

This one is worth a long plane ride to see. What an inspired idea!

I, like Froy, would love for one of those to be Chicago, but we need to be fast fingered on getting tickets for it.

I hope he does more than just two with this setlist.

Thanks for the info, Suite! :D

Would love to see that show! Shame they can't bury the axe, and do two or three shows ayear together, like this show DDY is doing. MAybe he and Chuck can settle things, and would be nice to even see Glenn up there. But that is wishful thinking-ERIC

No offence to Glen but he was not around during the wooden nickle days
He would not fit in this time

I know exactly what Dennis is doing
He's a very smart guy
This show will be talked about all over the music circles
Shaw and Young are doing cover tunes Dennis is doing Lost Treasures
This is the show I have been waiting for all my life
Im stunned.

Froy,

You just invited Chuck to a show that is unconfirmed.
And what right do any of us have in calling any of them out to join someone else on stage. I am sure if he wanted to, he would contact Dennis.

Though I must say it looks like a nice setlist,I can unfortunately only see two things that get 'lost treasure status' here. That is Unfinished song and Best thing.Everything from the AM days are really not that lost.OK then, maybe Queen of spades also.

Well ,I like those ,but hardly lost treasures.Still your pix and mine is only a fraction of the setlist shown.
I like the set list shown, but maybe it shoulda been called 'the hits and some lost treaures,or Hits'n bits tour.
Dennis must have played some repeats with the shows over the years with at least 3 or 4 from Grand Ill.

Sounds like an AWESOME show!!! I would LOVE to see it. The set list I would REALLY like to see if it is TRULY a lost treasures concert would include: Born For Adventure, What Has Come Between Us, Jennifer, Ballerina,Love At First Sight, Back To Chicago, Golden Lark, Evil Eyes, A Song For Suzanne, Lonely Child, Why Me, plus the others that Dennis has listed, and the Dont Let It End Reprise.

As for Glen... Dennis brought him in when Tommy was with Damn Yankees. Dennis has ALWAYS praised Glens talents. Glen would be an awesome fit to add to Dennis's band. Maybe Dennis could even give him a 45 minute slot to open for him. Glen could showcase his INCREDIBLE Welcome To Hollywood CD, and by doing this, Dennis could make it a 3 plus hour event.

Glen is part of the legacy of Styx. It may be a small part, still he was brought into the band by Dennis, and played with Dennis, JY, Chuck, and John. Tommy also had no part in the Wodden Nickle era. Glen sounds like he has burried the hatchet as far as Dennis is concerned. He would be a very good fit for these limited shows.

FROY: I'll be at Rik Emmett too! My brother-in-law got us tickets as a Christmas gift. I've been to HOB before for dinner, but this will be my first concert there. I'm very excited.

Man, this is a must do. I might even swallow my pride and go back to Ripoffmaster for these tix. Does anyone know what the pre-sale password is going to be? I can easily go to the Chicago show. But, the fact that he's doing NYC on a Saturday night gives me a good excuse to go out and visit my grandparents again. What do guys think? Should I do both?

What a show this will be ! Unfortunately, I am currently "between jobs"
and unless that changes rather quickly, I'm going to have to take a pass
on this....

I wonder if Dennis has considered recording this show for sale as a CD or DVD ? I'd buy it in a heartbeat !
