For a second guitar player it was tough. Either Nugent or Hagar.

I have ALWAYS wanted to see/hear Michael and Dennis do each others songs. That would be 'killer!' And they sound so much alike at certain parts of their songs. With these two on vocals, any genre of song could be taken care of.

I would have picked Eddie Van Halen for another guitar player, but he is just to much of a mess right now.


Yeah, give me Dennis DeYoung, Michael Sweet, Jack Blades, Robert Sweet, Tommy Lee, Ted Nugent and Sammy Hagar in the same room together! LOL!

I am thinking along the lines of a "Great Rock Voices" tour.

Give me a very solid back-up band, lots of folks, and showcase the voices of Dennis DeYoung, Steve Perry, Lou Gramm and Steve Walsh.

Let them perform their own stuff, and then a bit of each other's stuff, and maybe some COVERS .

It would be cool to have Dennis and Steve W. do a little keyboard backup while others are singing.

(I think my dreaming has gone off the charts here!)

I would go deep into debt to finance seeing THIS one. In fact, I think I might just drop everything and follow it around the country.

Fair enough.

Gowans solo stuff is pretty BAD. He has about 4 solo songs that are listenable the rest pretty much...................... SUCK. But I LIKE him with Styx. Hes no DDY and he has NEVER claimed to be.

Funny thing, I was reading DDY's last interview that is posted on Styxcollector.com. It was from 1999, and Dennis is very bitter about what has happened to him. Its the first time I read this article. Two things strike me as sooo damn funny.

Dennis states that he feel his illness started back in 1996 when he had some wisdom teeth extracted. I believe that 100 %. My whole life turned upside down medically, when back in 2001 I had my wisdom teeth extracted. The end result was, my left tibia died due to no blood flow from some weird infection that seattled in my left knee. I wonder how I got that infection??? I'm OK now, but I did spend 19 months on crutches hoping my leg wouldnt snap.

Second, Dennis states Gowan is a tremendous talent. I believe he wrote a comparission of taking Steven Tyler out of Aerosmith and replacing him with Rod Stewert. I read it as Dennis is Steven, and Lawerence is Rod. He's again 100% correct the band without a doubt would not be the same. It would be different , but good. Dennis has a much better grip on this than most of us do. He knows Gowan is very talented.

Re:Gowan.
I used to have "Strange Animal'album and yes it was not that great.
His voice is something you have to get used to fershure.I do like the song 'Moonlight Desire' though.He is an excellent keyboard/piano player.
No doubt about that.

Yes, I had heard, and I am also hoping they come to the U.S. They are definitely on the top of my list of bands I want to see very badly!

Accept is my husband's top band to see. We were trying to work out plans to go to Sweden, but it's the last week of school for the kids. So I think we'll end up going to Vegas in the summer (for our anniversary).

Udo tours pretty much in the US, Wolf still lives in the US. I would think they'd do a few dates in the US. I hope.
