Styx - Movie

Okay, let's pretend here.

Let's just say that a channel like VH1 is going to do a tv movie on the band Styx. It will start from the very beginning and go to the events of today and where they are now. Styx: The Grand Illusion

For the band members, all 10, which actors do you think would be perfect to play them. Obviously since this will be a tv made movie, you can't pick HUGE movie stars.

I'm thinking the same actors will be played from the beginning to the end, so they will have to age them, keep that in mind.

Remember, this is just pretend. Oh, and please be nice

LOL It's true!! When I saw Styx back in 1999 (in the cornfield-LOL), Tommy looked EXACTLY like David Spade. A lot of people up front at that concert said the same thing.

I wish there was a way on here I could post pictures. I have a few pictures of David Spade, eh, I mean Tommy from that concert.

Darren, the parts of the band will not be played by themselves. Maybe a cameo or more at the end.....................

well, I don't know their financial status but it sure sounded good didn't it? and since it's a movie can we pretend? lol I'm not into material things anyway, but a LONG holiday does sound nice, like from May 17th - May 27th to see Asia and DARE in the UK lol and again in June to see Styx 3 times

Actually, YOU are the one taking it seriously. All I did is say it was an old comparison...I said I talked about it. Explain how that is taking this conversation so seriously?

It reminds of seeing the movie "Toys" (the one with Robin Williams. Not "The Toy" with Richard Pryor"). It was just funny seeing the General say, "Send in the Tommy Tanks!" And, out rolls all of the itty bitty tanks. Lots of old, not so relevant any longer, Styx jokes there.

Also, I'm not on "all" the Journey boards. I hardly ever post to BT any more. I only post here, the Yahoo mailing list, and the newsgroup (when it is active). I signed up for RVR but I never post there. I got booted off of "The Cooler" because I was tired of neo-conservatives ruling the roost and decided to say "what the fuck" and burn as many posts as I could...and had a LOT of fun doing it. There are many Journey forums and mailings lists that I have never even signed up for...such as the various solo forums/mailing lists, or the JPP thing, and other spin-off mailings lists of BT. I haven't even looked at Perry forums/lists in years.

But, what I came here to say is the only way I would see a Styx movie is if Trey Parker played Tommy, and Matt Stone played JY. They could get whoever they wanted to play the rest of the band, I wouldn't care. They could also have Satan and Saddam guest star when they start talking about playing ice hockey on the river Styx.
