Why so negative? What a waste of energy...

To each his own.

It would be in Styx' best interest to all work together in getting that done. The guys should involve Dennis and Glenn also. Both are great songwriters and have contributed positively to Styx history (which in DDY's case is a major understatement but I think you know what I mean).

Something like immortality in the hall of fame would be something you think would unite all of them. I'm sure even JY could choke down being around Dennis a bit for the sake of getting it done.

While the quote that started all this out was just a silly commentary, in all seriousness, Ash, you are right. Pulling together for this might be the only way. And I do think if they presented a united front on it, maybe, someday, in someone's wildest dreams, it could happen.

Probably not in my lifetime though.

I don't see it happening even if they did pull together. Since they were never considered "influential" or "critically acclaimed", I think they will be passed over. I wish that weren't the case though.

I myself don't understand what defines influential. I think things like this Hall of Fame, or the Grammies, are narrowly defined, and tailored to extremely specific tastes. Neither of which necessarily represent popular public opinion.

Peace,
Sadie
