Songs you would never forget and Why....

"SomeDay" by Glen B.
my first meeting w/Darren, last day, on the beach, saying goodbye,
and he plays this song to me, I hoped "someday we would meet again" who would have ever dreamed we would end up how we did :D

We Were Friends..DARE
"what started out as friendship has grown stronger" two songs tied in here, but the opening to DARE with the waves crashing and the fantastic sound of the pipes and the words to this song....esp the verse.."and I was wondering how you are... my friend, and I'll dream the dream for you" (the name I met him as was Dream_maker_man.

I Want Out - Helloween
One of my most memorable teenage angst tunes. The basic gist of the lyrics is that I'm the one calling the shots in my life, no one else.

Living Years - Mike And The Mechanics
My father passed away when I was 21 and this song really reminds me of how we didn't always see eye-to-eye at the time, as well as some of the regrets I have because of that.

Love Walks In - Van Halen
First slow dance at my first high school dance :D

Still In My Heart - Power Station
Sums it up for someone special in my life that got away.

Born To Run, Badlands - Bruce Springsteen
Both are simply very inspirational songs for me.

And of course, several songs from the Styx catalog for various reasons that would have everyone reading this falling asleep before too long

The song "Tears in Heaven" reminds me of my dad, who passed in my arms when I was 24.
and silly, the song, Horse with No Name-not sure who sang it, but Dad thought it was a cool song and I'm reminded of him whenever I hear that too.... :)
Living years I have not heard but would like to what album is it on?
Hey Ek..did you call the shots in your life? or do you wish you could/would/did.?

"Living Years" is a beautiful song. I'm sorry to hear about your father. I'm sure being in his daughter's arms was probably one of the best ways for him to leave this world, however.

"Horse with no Name" was done by America.

You can find it on an album that is also titled Living Years. It's the only song I've heard on the album, so I don't know what to tell you about the rest.

Yes, for the most part. I have a few minor regrets, but I wouldn't go back and do anything differently.
