I'm sure most of you don't have the time to check every website, group or fans pages. Okay, I'll be nice for the moment and keep you Current Styx fans updated.

Styx new "cover" cd will be named "Big Bang Theory" and the tenative release date is: April 12th (?)

Shaw/Blades cd "Influence" should be released next month (March). Yes another cd of cover songs.

I don't know if all you current Styx fans know that Larry injured his knee at one of the concerts in the midwest. Here is part of the note that he wrote on his site:

Now I have some news as well. March 1st I'll be indulging in something they call "knee-surgery" but I assure you I'll be on stage with Styx on March 8th in Nashville. The surgeon has promised me a 100% recovery. I asked him if I could have 110%, but he said "No, I'm sorry but that is a mathematical impossibility "... so we've settled on 153% and that's final. Thank you all for your kind words of concern. I'll just have increase the "rocking out" thing to 200% (which IS apparently possibe if one chooses the right partner). 99.9% Yours (I have to hold SOMETHING back just to retain a hint of dignity)

In their latest add Hamms Beer is using the song Criminal Mind as background music. In the commercial, a couple of chimpmunks try to break the Bear out of prison. The bear was caught bootlegging about 15 years ago. As a result Hamms was taken off the market.

Its the Styxworld version, but I read where Tommy, JY and the rest are NOT getting a dime.

Will this result in Gowan being ousted?????????

I almost forgot, one of the chimpmunks is wearing a jersey with his name on the back of it. Guess what his name is?????????????????????

Whoa! He is incapacitated AND he has a song being used for a commerical. Sounds like he is treading on thin ice there!

One more thing about the current line-up (and then I'm done), don't be surprised if they change their set list around and include a one or two "oldies" of the Styx years!!!
