This is something I wasn't going to post. But I'm sure this information would be posted soon.

Dennis wrote a note on his website about 6 weeks ago (or more) with the DVD release of his videos, it's on the home page of his website:

http://www.dennisdeyoung.com/

The release date is May 10th.

Originally the new Styx cover cd "Big Bang Theory" was suppose to be released on April 12th. Tommy even had it listed on Styxworld in one of his "Hello Friends" notes as April 11th, he was off a day. The Tommy fans new he was off a day since cds/DVD's/Videos are USUALLY released on Tuesday's.

Just RECENTLY the release for the covers cd has been changed to May 10th.

This is a "press" release from Tommy that can be found on a couple of sites:

Update on Styx Album
Styx guitarist Tommy Shaw says the new covers album called "Big Bang Theory" is done but won't come out until May 10th. Shaw says the reason is that they needed more time to get the artwork, credits and other stuff done and "it's coming as soon as we can get it to you."

Shaw also says the group added another tune, the Allman Brothers hit "One Way Out. Other songs include the Who's "I Can See for Miles", Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath" and the Beatles "I am the Walrus".

Okay, this is probably just nothing, just like when the Carrot Cd was released on Dennis' birthday. But I find it "interesting"

yeah - I'd be pretty astonished to learn they would intentionally delay a release of a CD just to stick it to Dennis *again. I think it's cool that even thougt they're apart and doing completely separate things, they are still kinda travelling along the same cosmic wavelength.

That change of release date for the covers is for the exact reasons Tommy stated.

And OF COURSE it was only a coincidence Cyclocarrot was released on February 18th.

What are you trying to imply here, Suite????? Is there some dark conspiracy we need to know about???

Actually I think they're doing it on purpose to keep these kind of boards going - I'M JUST KIDDING!!!

You mean, we can't come up with topics on our own? Do we need Robotos?

Whatever the reason, I hope each does well with their release.

Peace

Styx delivered the album later than expected to the record company which pushed the date back a bit.

Ironically, Both projects are being released by the same distributor....Universal.

Perhaps the record company is hoping that people showing up to buy one will see the other, and subsequently purchase both. Slick marketing, if that's the case. After all, there are still some out there that swing both ways. (so to speak :D )
