If you want some real good new Styx reading go to Glen Burtnik.com., Click on Message Boards, then click on Dear Glen, and finally select the Edge Of The Century LP question.
Glen gives some insight to that album, his and the bands A&M contracts, his janitorial aspirations, DDY, JY, John P, Tommy, the fans, and the album that never was released.
He closes by saying" Whatever the blame, thats my little story, or at least the Cliff Notes, of my first go round with the annoying high singing band from Chicago"
GB
Its a GREAT read!!!!!

Glad you've found our site, Yogi! Yes, it was a great read. Glen has a gift for storytelling - he's very descriptive.

Zan,
Ive been going to that site for well over a year. I may now be a bigger Glen fan than I am a Styx, or Dennis fan. Ive got almost all of his CD's, was on his Welcome To Hollywood E- mail list, and would give almost anything to see him perform by himself live.
Damn, I wish he'd tour closer to me.

I liked his story about HSAS a bit better. I think they would have named it something other then HSBS tho.

I happen to have 2 extra 3rd row tickets for his Atlanta show in june. You have plenty of time to plan for it, so no excuses! The tix are yours if you want them.

If you think you can handle it, Froy, by all means.

that could be the blind date episode of the year !
on a related note, wouldn't it be wild if Styx ( or Dennis ) had their own annual show, ala Kansas' "wheatfest" ? a show for the diehards, so to speak............a show where they could play a broad set list to fans who know and appreciate that music !
I'd go, and who knows, maybe I'd meet a few of you there too !

Oh and about those tickets.... I'm only four hours out of Atlanta, I'd be happy to go.... I wonder if I could arm wrestle Froy for 'em?
