there have been 7,860 posts here at the Styx board....Almost as many as all the other boards COMBINED at Melodicrock ( excluding the Rant! board )
So I gotta ask.........
Is Styx REALLY that interesting ? do we all need to get a life ?
This board brings me hours of entertainment....and there are about 30 of you I've never met, but I know more about many of you than some members of my extended family.
So, in spite of the fact that tomorrow is Easter Sunday, not thanksgiving....I tip my hat to Andrew for making this forum available to all of us....Andrew, I'll order a hat or something as soon as I get back on my financial feet. Thanks Buddy.
And to the rest.......thanks for the cheap entertainment, and happy Easter !

Classic,
How very true, only I don't know if there are even 30 of us on here that share the passion one way or another. Although there are peeps that lurk and only post occasionally.
No secret that the music of Styx has had an impact on all of us. And the entertainment value of this board is second to none.
I may not know any of you here personally, but I have to think that the personalities are fun to know, none the less.

Classic,
I liken this board to a magic trick or a movie special effect. If you just sit back and enjoy what you see it can be very entertaining. However if you find out the secret behind how it's done, something is lost. Why ask why? I am simply happy with the end result.
Is Styx that interesting? Probably not. But the personalities that inhabit this board are (as you alluded to). That is what keeps many of us coming back again and again and..... I would certainly hope it's not to create another top ten list.
I know we don't actually sit around a table here and break bread, but it is a meeting place nonetheless. The format is just buffet style, that's all. So cheers to all and have a great Easter (especially those so inclined to go to a sunrise service). In the meantime, what are your top ten favorite....

Agreed, best board I have been on, best people around to. Although we may not agree on DDY or Larry, or a Cover cd, we still talk to each other. We keep the subjects going too. Not to knock my Journey friends on this site, but Augeri VS Perry is just about all it's about. Here it is different, sure it is brought up (DeYoung debate), but it's not just about that. I have traded music with some of yall, and would again.
Well got to go, I have Sunrise Service tomorrow, luckly I don't have to teach Sunday school tomorrow, would be hard to keep the kids on the lesson, when you sitting on the beach with the sun comming up. Hopefully it will not be raining in the morning.
Yall have a safe and happy Easter, and God bless-ERIC

The best part about this board is that there is NOBODY in my day-to-day life that would care to share two sentences about Styx with me, and for that, I give all of you my thanks (even if we don't see eye-to-eye on everything)!!!!!!!! You guys (and gals) are the best

So how did Renegade sound?
But this topic and how Dennis sounded last night is really for a different thread.
And as the thread strarted, it is the personalities of this board that make it so interesting.

I've noticed the same thing about this board. There's always a little yellow sticky by Styx's name and not-so-many stickies by the rest of the groups' boards. It means either Styx just has a more pasionate fan base, or we all have too much time on our hands.

Well, the board certainly heard a lot more from you today, than anyone else, so what does that say about your Easter? You certainly seemed to put a lot of time and detail into your little rants, I guess you just passed up all your Easter plans, right? The worst thing is, the Arby's jokes aren't even original, some other losers pop up from time to time on here, with the exact same rap, I guess you couldn't even come up with your own, huh?

I see the troll has once again invaded a perfectly good space. I usually never post on a thread where this hideous creature rants, but I wanted to add to what Classic started.
We do go on, don't we? But I have always felt the give and take is done in the spirit of good discussion.
And Zan, I think it may be a little bit of both, LOL! But, hey, if you're gonna post, why not here??

I hope you all had a Happy Easter yesterday
To me, I'm very passionate about Styx and I've been a fan most of my life (see other posts on my Styx history-LOL) This is one of my favorite Styx boards since especially since there's all different "sides" and it also brings me
hours of entertainment.
I've met a lot of great people from this board and hope to meet more.
During the winter I have a lot of time on my hands between my job as a Lunch Lady (LOL) and the kids in school. During the summer I'll have more of a life (kids out of school and film work) so I won't be on that much (LOL).

Styx isn't more interesting than the other bands on this site. Most of the bands here have large discussion groups on different forums. It just so happened that a lot of very opinionated STYX fans found this particular forum and brought it to life.
I have been on other STYX forums (although I refuse to pay to be a member at Styxworld) and none of the others are nearly as active or interesting.
But then again....Froy may need to get a life

So that means only 1 or 2 posts a day as opposed to 5 or 10
you know I'm only teasing
Also... I'm curious. What...........
kind of film work do you do exactly?

You didn't like ours, kansas? we don't really argue about Styx and DDY anymore though. it takes a special kind of person to keep hashing that to death. LOLBut then again....Froy may need to get a life :roll
heh.

LOL, I don't think I post that much

(I know you're teasing.) Right now I'm working on a movie that's almost completed, filmed in Wisconsin. I mostly do publicity since I work on my computer at home (LOL). I'm on the IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base site). I'm also on a film crew that will start filming concerts and interviews around Milwaukee this summer. Oh and I was in a teeny tiny part (crowd scene) of the Mr. 3000 film (LOL) I still have 2 local access cable shows (LOL) one that I produce and interview local bands. Hey Kansas666, you and your band are more than welcome to be a guest
