OK, I know we touch on these subjects from time to time, this one included, probably as part of another thread.

My favorite JY songs are so few, I can list them pretty easily:

(No particular order)

Young Man
Midnight Ride
Great White Hope
Double Life (my ABSOLUTE favorite)
Half Penny, Two Penny
Heavy Water

I also kinda like Homewrecker, mainly for the guitar and keyboard break.

They all wrote Put Me On, but I love it too.

Has anybody seen a concert where JY performed "Captain America"?

I think they have only done it twice.

The first was on the debut of Cyclorama in an acoustic set at I think HOB in Los Angeles. The other I believe was at Sturgis/Harley show where Peter Fonda was appearing also.

I would love to hear that one live. Both of JY's contributions are classic JY songs.

But then again, I would love to see most of Cyclorama done live.

Hmmm.

City of Holy Faith
These Are The Times
City Slicker
Miss America
Half-Penny Two-Penny
Still Feel Your Love
(Most of the rest of City Slicker)
Double Life

City of Holy Faith is a bitingly intelligent song. Worth buying that otherwise disappointing album just to get that one track. His voice is, as always, perfectly OK by rock-n-roll standards, but not up to Tommy or Dennis.

JY did, and still does, write some damn intelligent lyrics.
