Okay, I'll start since I actually know the answer.

At the beginning of the song "I'm Okay", what does

Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Eight, Skate, Seven on the Rotate! mean?

I thought it was sit on it and rotate.

I dunno what it meant....but it was another one of those unnecessary little
( and to me slightly annoying ) additions to some of their songs....like the YES...NO! bit in Borrowed Time

I feel like these songs stood up well enough on the basis of the Music and lyrics alone, and didnt need these ( cute ? ) little additions to them, that they actuallt detracted from the music, made them more "kiddie friendly"

I wonder if things like this contributed to the lack of respect they got from the critics ?

( Classic steps off his soapbox........)

Let's just put this one to rest.

The beginning of "I'm Okay" is a dice rolling call.

We all know the album "Pieces of Eight" is about money, fame, addictions and the gambles people make in life to achieve it.

That was a natural beginning to that song in the context of that album.

Note: I am a fan of all those little additions, asides, etc. to some of those songs. But that is just me.

Bugsy

And don't forget that "Lady Luck" plays a part in all of that....

"Luck Is A Lady Whose Smile Is As Cold As A Stone"....

"Turn of the card, she's there....."

Definitely thematic.
