That sounds like a great way to go see them. If they did something like that near me I would enter and, if I won, I might even go. Should we lobby for something like that near us, Yogi???

Yes, just like the Free Journey concert I went to in 1979 that was sponsored by another Chicago radio station or the Free Elton John concert that my friend is going to this weekend in Atlanta, GA Even though the concert may be free to us the band is being paid very well.

You guys are so silly. If Dennis did THE EXACT SAME THING you'd point out what a great gesture it was from him to his fans. When Styx plays a casino, it's cheap to you. When Dennis does, it's understandable. When Dennis sings "Summertime" it's a beautifil cover to you and when Styx gets airplay with Walrus it's 'filler'. When Styx plays anywhere out of the ordinary (a popcorn fest, an airport) it's a sad day in your 'history of Styx' and when DeYoung plays a pig fest (or whatever it is) it's cute. Whatever Styx does is proof to you of how much they need Dennis and whatever DeYoung does is proof how great he is.

Silliness. Transparent.

Now now Adam...there ya go lumping everybody together again. Tsk tsk.

And while the point has validity I'd only remind you that the only difference here is that Dennis has very little name recognition on his own. The band does not.

The whole set of arguments is silly. Transparent, I disagree. Shocker right

Adam, I was being totally sincere about wishing they would do something free near me (the only way I will see them).

I want to see what all the excitement is about, ya know.

And I know Yogi would be right there with me, showing me things like when to clap and such.

Should I resort to personal attacks too?

Just give me the go ahead and I'll start.

It wasn't a personal attack. I have no idea whether you're male or famale, if that's what you mean. If you want to take it as such so be it. Take it as you like. I'm a big boy, I can take it.

Of course it was. You're asking if I'm related to that Froy character. You didn't exactly intend that as a compliment, now did you?

C'mon... don't be a dickhead.

honestly Froy may be a lot of things and I agree with him about 3% of the time, but he is consistent and passionate about is point of view. (As wrong as I feel he is at times.)

But you can take this one to the bank. You phrase and say things similarly to what Froy does. You appeared and he disappeared. The only difference is you can spell.

And just like Froy, you respond with the name calling.

Tell me the truth, is that the best you can come up with?

You can spin it anyway you want but you were attempting to insult me by associating me with Froy...

Now you're trying to shift the blame.

I guess that's the way you approach it when you have nothing relevant to add to the discussions.

Spin is for people without facts. I on the other hand don't need the spin. I speak the truth.

Take it how you want to. This is ridiculous.

As I said before, my name is nothing to do with Bon Jovi but think what you want.

No doubt that lyric holds true meaning for you Zanny, no doubt you've told countless guys they were the one to take your cherry. Shame shame shame.

I just signed up
If I win I will throw the tickets into the fire
If I win the 4000 I will laugh all the way to the bank

Froy, Sell the ticket. Just curios if you hate the current Styx line up why are you here? I not trying to be devisive just really want to know. I really liked Queen and to me Freddy Mercury was Queen but if I won free tickets to see them with whoever they get to replace (did I here Paul Rodger of BadCo) I would go , a rock show is a rock show.

This board is not a board for the current styx lineup

Would you go if Freddie was still alive and Paul Rodgers took his place?

I love Free tickets. I'd probably go see about just anyone. Styx has always been my favorite band so I'm very passionate (and obsessed) of who's singing my favorite songs.

I went to see Judas Priest with Ripper, I was happy just going to a free show. Oh and last year I saw Journey with the other Steve, Free show, still happy.

I honestly don't think they care anymore about whether or not those fans that only believe "Dennis is Styx" come to their show. At this point they have pretty much rebranded the Styx name and are attracting fans on their own merits.

Send a message all you want, but in their eyes, you never will come to their show regardless of how big they were, are or become. And they have moved on.

Froy writes -- This board is not a board for the current styx lineup

So then that must mean this board is meant only for discussing the original line up ---DDY, JY, CP, JP and JC. So I guess anything from Crystal Ball on is off topic, not really Styx, irrelevant. We should not discuss Tommy Shaw or Glen Burtnick as they were not members of Styx as you define them. Well Froy you certainly do not let the facts get in the way of your story. Did you happen to miss reading the following..........

Anything Styx current or classic...band or solo. Including DDY (old) and Burtnik and Ricky Phillips (new).
