Greetings to the people of planet Earth,
... that includes YOU. Did you ever wonder about the origins of Rock? Where did it come from and what was there before it was here and who put it there in the first place and what was Her sun-sign?... of course you have. Well enough about that already. Did you know that our new Styx CD will be entitled "Big Bang Theory" and pertains, to some degree, to our beliefs regarding the essential components that converged to bring our universe of all things Rock into existence? Believe it. Hopefully you will, after a listen or two. May 10 is the release date for the USA and at this writing May 24 is the Canadian launch. We're back out touring currently and looking forward to appearing on the "Today Show" on May 14. Thanks for all your kind words and personal comments on this site recently. I've enjoyed reading them. Rock on dear bretheren and sisteren. L Gowan

Under Froy's theory, cover songs make you ask for more.

PART 1: WORDS TO REMEMBER
Froy: Thats why you don't record cover songs its like sex feels good in the begining sucks when its over

Adam: Mere words cannot convey my admiration for a society so diverse that it can include such people and allow them to procreate, as Froy. All I can think is: his POOR WIFE!

PART 2: THE ENDLESS DOUBLE-STANDARD
Froy: Thats why you don't record cover songs its like sex feels good in the begining sucks when its over

Adam: I got 3 words: "Ten..On...Broadway"

Adam,
Perhaps Froy is right.

When you play BBT it will be great, and when it is over it will suck and it will leave you the feeling of wanting more.

Now I cant get that dreaded song PLEEEAAAASSSE out of my head.

My vision now has Froy with his Roboto mask on, and a Milkbone hanging out of the masks mouth. Chunks has just removed his spiked dog collar. Froy is now calling his bedroom the Paradise Theatre. MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!! Youve got to MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!

Getting back on track here...I think it's a nice shot in the arm for the band. They've had a good association with the Today show for a number of years now. Good for them.

They canned them because they took on STYX

I get it, Froy. Your point is you shouldn't record cover songs unless you’re not promoting it as STYX it as a record. So Dennis can record cover songs…in fact ANYONE CAN, as long as it’s not Styx.

So, Styx cannot record cover songs.

The Bee Gees can and Dennis can.

I see.

Yogi, none of the guests, etc. should be affected by this. It is a change of producers or some such. Much turmoil on the Katie/Matt front on the Monday - Friday edition, I hear.

Anyway, Styx is appearing on the Saturday edition of The Today Show. I am not sure who hosts that one.

My guess is they will have them doing a mini-concert outside, so that might be enjoyable for all those interested in this.

Bugsy

Froy: What does Dennis have to do with this ?

Adam: Okay. I get it, but you don't, Froy. Stay with me here...You made the point that you shouldn't record cover songs unless you’re not promoting it as a STYX record. Your words.

Which means that anyone can - just not Styx. Dennis has recorded an album of cover songs…So, Styx cannot record cover songs.

Froy: The Bee Gees did and regretted it.
Adam: Did they? You said you liked their Sgt Pepper covers.

Froy: So know you don't see
Adam: So blackfoot pajama 2 U two (I can be illerate too)
