Perusing through BestBuy.com I found this amusing release from Styx that was released in February.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... id=1412205
It features mostly Brave New World and some other tracks since EOC.
here is the song listing
1. Number One
2. Best New Face
3. Edge Of The Century
4. Fooling Yourself
5. On My Way
6. Dear John
7. Grand Illusion
8. Too Much Time On My Hands
9. What Have They Done To You
10. Everything Is Cool
Any thoughts?

Yes, the thought that springs immediately to mind is "beating a dead horse".

My, what an uplifting, happy attitude you bring with you! Methinks thou possesses an inordinate amount of resentment around with thee...

Let's face it, the constant stream of compilations is getting a bit tired. Throw in all the live releases and you can have 'Blue Collar Man' on something of the order of ten albums.
I've mentioned before that I have a friend who is a Kiss fanatic and is a 'completionist' when it comes to his Kiss Catalog. Every time they release another Kiss GH album he gets irked. (Still buys 'em though)
I feel that when you keep releasing Hits and Live albums with the inclusion of perhaps one or two 'new' tunes on it, it is with the intention of squeezing your most diehard fans of a few more bucks.
I will acknowledge that the record labels are behind alot of it, but it still stinks nonetheless.

Ive got this CD and its a joke. It is a budget release and the tracks listed are NOT actually on there. What have They Done To You is not even in this set. Brave New World takes its place even though the CD cover and song listing says different.
The Brave New World Tracks come straight of the CD, as do On My Way and Dear John come off Return To Paradise. The other tracks are from the Arch Allies CD.
Finally, this CD has been out for well over a year or two.

REALLY??? What label is this on? Is it some kind of bootleg? I'm pretty shocked to hear a label of any merit would release such a mistaken release. Then again, I'll bet Sanctuary is very involved in trying to repackage as many OLD titles as anything

Am I supposed to eat shit and smile?
So what that Zan doesn't like my critical opinions. Too f'ing bad.
There have been a zillion compilations released in the last 5 years.
Some of them are no fault of "Styx" but some are.

I used to be one of those completests in regard to Kiss.
It is sticking it to the diehards. Especially when they release a compilation album with one or two new songs.
Ripoffs.
