if you had control of the next compilation album what songs would you include? Remember you can have no more than 80 minutes of material and it is one cd.

My God... do we need another compliation album?

I just can't wait for "Styx" to get back in the studio and record some new original material so we can all experience the magic of Gowan once again.

no we don't. And they really don't have control of what is included. But I was waiting for Froy's top 10 DDY songs on the cd.

ItsMyLife: My God... do we need another compliation album?...I just can't wait for "Styx" to get back in the studio and record some new original material so we can all experience the magic of Gowan once again

Adam: Okay, lets get this clear.
ItsMyLife is against another Styx compilation.
ItsMyLife is against another Styx studio album.
ItsMyLife is against Styx doing covers.
ItsMyLife is against Styx covering their own songs on any albums other than liuve albums(unless they made an unplugged album...maybe).
ItsMyLife is against Lawrence Gowan.
ItsMyLife is against the Beach Boys and Peter Green, foiunder of Fleetwood Mac.

Oh, okay. If I felt like ItsMyLife, I don't think I'd get my ya-yas out frequenting a board about Styx. But that's just me - I must be nuts.

I'm here to celebrate the music of the real band STYX.

Domo Arigoto, Mr. Retardo.

Really? Please quote a post where you celebrate Styx without talking like a dick about the new Styx.

Clarification for Mr. Retardo...

Yes, what's the point. I'm sure you'll run to the store the next time something is shuffled and repackaged.

mADAMe wrote:ItsMyLife is against another Styx studio album.

No, I'd love another Styx album. Just not another "Styx" album

mADAMe wrote:ItsMyLife is against Styx doing covers.

I'm against most bands doing covers... it's common when the well has run dry. But "Styx" can do what they want. I ain't gonna buy it anyhow. Tommy is turning this into a lucrative business as the Shaw/Blades covers album is due out soon also. Hilarious!

mADAMe wrote:ItsMyLife is against Styx covering their own songs on any albums other than liuve albums(unless they made an unplugged album...maybe).

Again, I don't care what "Styx" does. But I do find it funny that they continually re-record the old stuff and package it with the new hoping that it will sell more albums.

mADAMe wrote:ItsMyLife is against Lawrence Gowan.

Yes, he sucks.

mADAMe wrote:ItsMyLife is against the Beach Boys and Peter Green, foiunder of Fleetwood Mac.

Yes, Fleetwood sucked before Buckingham/Nicks joined. Live with it.

There's one original member of Beach Boys actually still in the band at this point? No wonder you like them.

You might have heard of the band Styx... they released some great albums... among them "Paradise Theater", "Pieces Of Eight" and "The Grand Illusion". You should check them out because that's why I'm here.

Please learn to quote correctly. Don't attribute Mr. Retardo's comments to me.

My initial post talks about Dennis' phenominal Symphony disc. Go read that.

Again, I don't care what "Styx" does.

Interesting how the ones who claim to care the least often have the most to say. Just a friendly observation.

Yogi, I like your list, except, what is that Green Day song (#21) doing on a Styx album?

:D

Bugsy (ducking from the folks who live in the humor free zone)

You confuse not caring about "Styx" with not caring about Styx.
