Subject: old thread / new thread
When I was growing up KISS was considered "Bubble Gum Rock" Styx is a real tough call - Progressive Rock, Art Rock, Pop Rock but not Hard Rock. Supertramp (who's last concert with both Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies {thats actually my name to, and no Ray is not my brother} is also hard to catorgorize. Any one want to try to label them.

Lets try this ...............

Band or Group "what's you favorite group?" Remember calling them "Groups"?

Sorry I was trying to do this

Band Catagorie(s)

Led Zeplin

Aeorosmith

Pink Floyd

The Cars

Bread "best of bread 8-track + parked car + Girl = Lucky"-circa 1977-

CSNY

Fleetwoot Mac

Dire Straits

Genesis

Nazareth

Beatles

Kansas

OK - Categorize them -

*This was meant to be part of another thread but I guess I clicked on new thread

I desire a cheeseburger , medium rare with lettuce, tomatoes and a thick slice of red onion on a toasted onion roll.

Led Zeppelin - prog rock
Aerosmith - rock
Pink Floyd - psychedelic
The Cars - pop
Bread - pathetic
CSNY - folk
Fleetwoot Mac - pop rock and alternative country
Dire Straits - weird
Genesis - pop rock
Nazareth - rock
Beatles - pop rock
Kansas - symphonic rock

And I'll take that cheeseburger medium well, mustard, ketchup, slivered onions, leaf lettuce, tomato, and a touch of mayo on a bakery bun.

whatever happened to David Gates ? he was a decent song writer within
his ( syrupy ) genre......and he dissapeared quite quickly.

And if in 1977 you can't get the girl to unbutton her blouse while " I wanna make it with you" is playing on the ol' 8-track
player, you might as well just take her home.....cus nothings gonna happen anyways !!!!!

I understand he is still working and doing some solo performances. In 2002, he apparently released an album called David Gates Songbook

Well I was only 12, listening to Goodbye Girl on the radio...so I can't say Make it with You would have done much for me
