I thought a thread designated for BBT chart info made sense......of course, I'm not the one who knows where to get it. If YOU do, this is the thread to post it on.

I think you need a password to get into the Mediabase chart.

On the ChicagoSTYX chart it's # 1 this week.

Amazon charts

# 1 Arena Rock

# 6 Classic Rock

# 77 overall

With the perspective of Target and Best Buy offering BBT at lower pricing than Amazon has, #77 overall is respectable IMO...

I wonder if Andrew has access to MediaBase ?

OK, we DeYoungians are MORE than glad to help out when we can.

Mediabase Charts May 5 - 11

No Doctor – 4 – 63 plays ("spins")

Walrus – 6 – 38 plays

Can’t Find My Way – 9 – 30 plays

I Can See for Miles – 19 – 23 plays

Summer in the City 36 – 11 plays

One Way Out – 55 - 6

BCM 05 - 64 - 5 plays

EDIT: Oops, Missed these - Locomotive Breath 40 (10 plays) & Manic Depression 38 (I think also 10)

I did not see any others. Looks like they are playing cuts from the CD, some more than others.

I would guess they would play more of the ones with requests for them. So call in!!

I will check later today to update. I did this quickly and may have missed a song. I thought a couple of others were on there the last time I looked.

To be honest I have no idea if it really means much. I would think that as long as you stay in the top 100 overall (or close to it) you must be selling some CDs. It would be nice if Amazon were to post number of units sold through their store.

Thank you fellow DeYoungian (Bugsy) for taking the time to find this information. Much appreciated!! You're awesome :)

According to Amazon a few seconds ago, it's at #97 in music. Still in the top 100. (side note- Rob Thomas is #5 in music, oo la la)

Thanks, Suite. Didn't sound like anyone was much interested, so I probably won't bother again. Or maybe they would just rather find it themselves.

Thanks, Bugsy; this is interesting.
I think it's really cool that the band is getting some attention. Does anyone here really think that Top 40 is going to give anything from this album any notice? No, that's not an insult to the album; that's an insult to the current state of Top 40 music. I can just see picture it, the D.J. comes on and says, "that was Eminem and his newest "Ass Like That"; now here's the latest from Styx, "I Am The Walrus".. Styx is getting the attention where they should be, Classic Rock radio; those are the stations the band should be recognized by, and they are; so why can't we be happy with that?

I didn't expect and AWARD or anything! I guess I am used to other boards where people thank others for the information. Something I try to remember to do myself and sometimes forget here.

I promise you, I am not the sensitive type. :P I really thought no one was particularly interested.

I just copied and pasted todays list. Looks like not much change here.
NOTE: This is for the Classic Rock Charts.

FYI: First number is last week Second number is this week

After the song, First number is number of spins this week, second number is number of spins last week, and third number is change, up or down, don't know what the last one means.

Bugsy, you know I'm always interested in everyone's posts :)

I think "Can't Find My Way Home" will go higher and stay up there. It's a pretty good song (still like the HOL version better). OMG did I just praise a Carrot Styx remake song

I still like Tommy's voice. I'm still looking forward to hearing Shaw/Blades covers.

Bugsy, you are right - it's polite to thank people for posting stuff we ask for. So, thank you. That said, can anyone (except Froy and IML) explain what the hell all of that means in English? LOL

It means classic rock radio stations are playing it. That's it.

But it also means that they are getting something they haven't had in a while and that is exposure for their new material.

Mediabase Classic Rock Chart - May 20th

I think No. 142 is interesting.

Also, just for comparison, the top songs played overall have in the neighborhood of 500 spins per week. Aerosmith seems to be a Classic Rock favorite. Dream On got 511 spins for the week.

Rank last week/Rank this week/Artist/Song/Spins this week/Spins last week

4 4 STYX I Don't Need No Doct... 61 63
