I don't think anyone here wants to remove Dennis from this site.

I do think that most here want everyone to stop slamming Dennis due to him not being with STYX and stop slamming Styx for no longer having Dennis.

We've had great discussion about this band in all its incarnations, some just made it a little to personal.

And it goes downhill already.

Here Dennis has a movie being released, Styx is touring Europe and apparently doing quite well, and we bring this up. It is one of the reasons I've been infrequent in positng here lately.

I sincerely hope we can all work hard at enjoying both without putting each other down and making really uncalled for remarks.

~~QUOTE~~I'm told DDY has a forum, so let's keep all things DDY there and not here as the new lineup is STYX without DDY - past history he is, as Yoda would say!

the above quote is what I saw somewhere in this discussion board,

it's all good about the way people feel, as you see I dont' get into those arguments as Styx is current STyx to me as well as DDY, I love it all,
I don't care either way as long as all Styx members are continueing their lives productively and making their fans happy, but truth is DDY isn't past history he's very much present alive and well and touring and making tons of people happy that he is.

Sadie, I'm only making a comment to waht some else said..nothing was said to put anyone down or critize them, I like coming here to read
what makes people happy regarding all of our favorite music, there will always be hard feelings for some people, thats their choice to vent and voice their opinions, I know it gets old, but the "we bringing this up" is not negative in any way, it's merely stating that we all are fans of the music of Styx, and that is what this board is about...Styx past and present.

I love styx past and present no bashing ever from me regarding them, although I realize there have been rotten things said to one another,
I enjoy the music of both and have no ill feelings either way.

I agree. I wasn't trying to state otherwise. I've long maintained we should enjoy them for as long as we can, because, simply put, they won't be around forver.

Please allow me to clarify. Iwasn't directing my comments at your post here. I was directing them at the person who was trying to railroad this thread into yet another slamming contest. There are very few if any threads where this doesn't occur. In no way was I meaning to suggest the comments made by you were negative. Please accept my apology if that is how it came across. I realize I could have worded it better. I guess I'm just rather tired of seeing nearly every thread take on a divisive negative tone, and when I saw the post I reacted. Again, my apologies.

And I'm sure that's what the men in the band would want you to do. There have been extremely rotten things said, much in knee jerk fashion. I cannot help but wonder if the comments made here would in this forum would be said directly to the person they are aimed at in a face to face situation. I appreciate yours and others abilities to just enjoy the band in all its incarnations. I just have a hard time watching people take delight in mud slinging.

Peace

IML...

Are you ever civil?

Life is far to short to show so much anger. Such a sad way to live one's life.

May peace be with you.

Well, since that is basicaly all you ever say, over and over again....nothing.

Dennis can rule the pre-teen movie genre. I'd rather see a Styx concert.

So would I. Unfortunately, Tommy and JY kicked a sick man when he was down and destroyed a once great band.

While Dennis being sick was probably part of it, I am sure there is more to it than that.

But we will all believe what we want to believe.
