If you could have Styx (Current band or classic band) headline a 6 band all day festival what would be your line up.......you have to be realistic (ie: Floyd cant open the show etc...)
WELCOME TO DAZFEST FROM DOLPHIN STADIUM MIAMI
1pm - 2pm DARE .....America gets the chance to witness this awesome band for the first time.
2.30 - 3.30 NIGHTRANGER.....Jack and the boys rock the joint and prove you can still rock in America
4pm - 515pm TRIUMPH....The super Canadian 3 piece reform with Rik Emmett for 1 off show....
5.45 - 7pm DAMN YANKEES....Tommy & Jack are busy...2 sets in one day.....Ted supplies the power.
7.30 - 9pm TOTO.... Stevie Lukather, Bobby Kimball and the guys put on a great show, Africa, Hold The Line etc....All the hits are there.
9.30 - 11.30pm STYX......The first band to have 4 triple platinum albums in a row bring the curtain down on DAZFEST...Dennis DeYoung & JY, Tommy etc end their differences to perform together again 1 last time with an amazing show and even Froy (Who nicked a backstage pass) cant persuade them to stay together.
All profits from the show (after everything is paid) including merchandise etc will go to the victims families of 9/11 and the London bombings..........as i dont need the money.
NOW TO WIN THAT DARN LOTTERY

OK, Darren, I'm in....sorta.
Make it Reliant Stadium in Houston and close the roof.
I might arrive early enough to catch Dare.
Triumph -- cool
Can take a LONG extended break during DY. I cannot stand Ted Nugent.
Of course, one is truly entering a dream world as to a reunited Styx!

Well, since none of these concerts are going to take place anyways, I'll take some liberties with my lineup..........
I'll start my concert with a 90 minute set from Dan Fogelberg, during his triumphant return from his battles with Cancer, he'll do a 30 minute solo acoustic sub set right in the middle.
Building just a little from that would be a 45 minute set by Neil Young, and the 45 minutes where he is joined on the stage by Crosby , Stills and Nash.
Then, since they've rediscovered each other, we'll put a 2 hour set, complete with every special effect they've ever used, of the Classic Pink Floyd lineup.
I Won't have much left in the emotional tank by now, but I will find a 2nd wind when Styx takes the stage, and DDY is behind the keyboards....they'll announce the whole fued was just a publicity stunt gone bad and launch into 10 new cuts that make the Grand Illusion look
like easy listening.
Then after an intermission, the curtain will go up, and on the stage will be Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and...........no, it CANT BE ! BUT IT IS It's John Lennon and George Harrison !!! THEY'RE ALIVE ! John was actually revived that night in 1980, and whisked off to seclusion for his own safety. And they cured George's cancer, but wanted to keep the reunion in tact , so he also was kept secluded.....unil now
John takes to the mike, and invites me onto the stage to sing some backup parts, and we launch into the song I'll be back....
They'll call the show Concert for Classic, it will be telecast world wide, and people will contribute millions of dollars to my favorite charity ( me ! ) so I may never hav another financial worry or concern.
Then sadly, I wake up.........and that my friends, is my dream concert !!!!! ( whew ! )

“ROCK’N ROLL IS HERE TO STAY”
Winter Tour 2005/2006
*** Just Announced – Journey to Join Tour ***
In the vein of Ozzfest and Lollapalooza, Classic Rock artists Styx, Night Ranger, and Journey with Ted Nugent and John Waite as support have agreed to unite for a tour of old fashioned rock ‘n roll. This daylong concert will not only feature these major artists of the 70’s and 80’s, but also the bands they were a part of in the 80’s and 90’s.
In addition to full sets by Styx, Night Ranger and Journey – The music of the following artists and bands will perform between sets, as members join with other artists of the bands they were part of, providing for a full day of music and memories:
• Ted Nugent - solo
• John Waite - solo
• Shaw – Blades (Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades)
• Damn Yankees (Ted Nugent, Tommy Shaw, & Jack Blades)
• The Babys (John Waite, Ricky Phillips, and Jonathan Cain)
• Bad English (John Waite, Ricky Phillips, Jonathan Cain, and Neal Schon)
Some bands scheduled to perform are currently in negotiations with previous band members that do not have other commitments or obligations to join them for this tour.
Doors will open at noon, with performances beginning at 1:00pm. Performance schedules will not be released prior to the date of each venue, ensuring a full venue all day.
~
The “Rock ‘N Roll Is Here To Stay” Tour is currently being scheduled to hit 30 cities in an arena tour throughout the U.S. during the Winter of 2005/2006.

None of these "concerts" look bad at all. What do ticket prices run?

Great thread. Darren, 6 bands might be too many for one day/night - LOL
This would take place in the summer time, since I can't stand Alpine Valley, which would have been a perfect venue, I'll take this to Marcus Ampitheater in Milwaukee.
I hope I win the lottery too!!

12:30-1:30
