To Andrew- re: reviews grading process

This isn't exactly related to Styx, but I just got to know how does one determine what pertentage to give an album..

..I mean if you like a cd and give it, say, an 84% grade, why that and not 83% or 85%?

Seems like pulling numbers out of thin air.

What number do you give something when you grade it? Do you just make a number up or go by how it feels. I do not think Andrew just amkes somthing up. Read the review of whatever cd the grade is on, and that will give you an idea of how it got the grade.-ERIC

it is (remember Dance Fever). He should change it, but it's probably too late for that.
At least he got rid of the vibe and attitude categories.

And... this one was always funny to me. This was the Trial By Fire scoring.
Total Score 90%
Production 98% Songs 95% Vibe 95% Attitude 90%
hmmm...94.5 right? (attitude must count for alot)

Yeah, I suppose I should pm him.

I'm used to the Rolling Stone rating method of 0-5 stars. I'm just curious about how on a scale of 0 to 100% how some one can decide exactly on what percentage: 82% isn't too far off of 81% or 83%. I wonder if there is a ryhme or reason to it.
