OT - Auditioning A "Band"

Does anyone know any pretty well known band members that are out of a band and that could be semi-retired (they're not touring all the time). This wouldn't be an "all-star" band, but a band of guys that have been in the music business for years and years and that can still play. These guys should be in their late 40's to early 50's.

It seems that most of you on here know so much about other bands. I have no clue what Moore and Levine (guys from Triumph) are doing now so that would be a start. This is for a movie with a "fictional" band, but it has to be realistic.

Thanks in advance for your input :)

Hope that helps. :-D

Hmmm, and Glen is an actor too and he has the personality (fun and wild)!! Jesse McCartney could play the younger version of him. Good one :) I would like to have Rob Thomas as the lead and then I would need someone to play the older version of him.

Are you casting a real movie or is this just for fun?

Hopefully we'll be casting for a movie next Spring/Summer (it's for a real movie, hopefully for a theatrical release). I just need visual for the band characters :)

I think Ringo might be available Suite.....I mean, one can't have an "all-star band" without Ringo, can one ?

Hey Lord, Do you know the Story about why Meisner left the Eagles all those years ago ? I know they fired Felder ( 2 different times, I think....) But dont know the story on Meisner.

Just curious.

I heard Lou Gramm is pretty washed up. As is DLR. Boston is still together, so I think you can scratch them off the list.

Steve Perry would be my #1 draft pick for singer.

Since VH seems defunct, maybe we could drag Eddie away from the bottle long enough to strum a few tunes?

Steve Perry would take away from the whole story, can't have an "Icon" - :) Same with Ringo. Depending on the budget, I would love to have Rob Thomas throughout the movie and just age him somehow - But in reality, I don't think that would work out

Randy Meisner would be great, he's 59 and still out there :)

Aynsley Dunbar - drums

Well, I guess if Steve Perry's out, then so is DeYoung?

I have 2 scripts that will be submitted very soon and the others hopefully within a few months.

I did post about one of them, it has to do with an internet message board - LOL It's a thriller and it will give you chills and you'll think twice about posting on a board, ha ha ha ha ha (evil laugh). I know everyone on this board will enjoy it and if everything works out, you'll enjoy the cameos :)
