Stoughton WI , a very short drive from where I live, took a major hit from Tornados this evening. I'm staying outside of Milwaukee tonight on business, and they are showing some very scary shots of the destruction.
One of their churches just burned to the ground on Wednesday too....
I felt kind of helpless bring away from home while my wife & dogs were taking shelter in the basement.
yikes !

Classic, I hope your wife is doing good. It's hard to be away with these storms.
I saw the footage earlier this evening. 15 houses down (in Stoughton) and a lot of damage. We heard the tornado sirens earlier this evening. There was a lot of debris flying in the air earlier too, I'm not sure if a mail truck was hit or what - a lot of mail coming this way out of the sky.
We left Froy's place late this afternoon and made it past Madison just in time.
We're still on tornado watch until 11:00pm tonight. UGH

Suite, everyones fine at home, thanks for the concern. The storm looked like it was coming right at "us" ( where you live and where I'm staying ) but then turned south before it got here. some very odd colored clouds in the air tho.
If any of my mail arrived on your lawn via tornado express, wil you please forward it back to me ?
when I get home, I plan to look up an old supervisor of mine, he lives very near the worst hit area......hope his house is still there !

Classic, I'm glad your family and house are okay, thank goodness. I thought it was coming right for us too, but it stayed south of I-94, I'm glad the path changed.
We were outside watching the weird looking clouds, I never seen anything like it before.
If I see your mail, I'll forward it right away - LOL Seriously, looking outside this morning, there is a bunch of debris that has settled in the neighborhood.

Nothing more frightening than knowing a tornado is in your immediate vicinity. Been there. Done that. Did NOT buy the T-shirt.
Glad all of my Midwestern friends (and extended family) are ok.

Classic and Suite...very glad you dodged this bullet. And Classic I hope everything will be okay for your friend.
I've twice been in places where I could see the tornado (way too close for comfort). Lousy thing to happen and very frightening.
As for the mail...Suite...well if you have Classic's bills, the least you could do would be to pay them!
