BON JOVI LOCK IN BIG ALBUM LAUNCH:
From FMQB: To launch their new album Have A Nice Day, Bon Jovi will be the first band to play the new Nokia Theatre Times Square. The concert will also be a part of a major multimedia event produced by Network LIVE, a new joint venture between America Online, XM and AEG. The entire show will be broadcast live on both AOL.com and XM, as well as shown in High Definition at over 100 movie theaters around the country.
"This band is about two things - the music and the fans," said Jon Bon Jovi. "This team we're working with has given us the opportunity to share new music with our fans on every imaginable level - in person, on the radio, online and in theatres across the country."
Bon Jovi will be heading out on a world tour this fall. Have A Nice Day arrives in stores on September 20, the day after the concert event.

(Must be nice to be an older band and actually get some exposure!)

Yeah, it must...but Bon Jovi has never really been "out" of the public eye. They still have the lead singer that made them popular. They treat each other like family. And they have management that works FOR them...(well, the last point was more of a reference to Journey).

jrnyman28, I totally agree with you!! I couldn't have said it better.

There aren't too many bands out there like Bon Jovi.

Personally, I think a little bit of it has to do with the fact that Jon Bon Jovi is easier on the eyes than many of his aging contemporaries. Not that record companies ever take that sort of thing into account; it's all about the music with them. (Where is that dripping with sarcasm emoticon, anyway?)

You have my vote there!! He looks great in jeans too. That's the only reason I'll watch him when he's on tv, not really listening to the music.

Dave, nice picture :)

Totally agree about the Jon Bon Jovi hot factor. (Fanning self just thinking about him! )

One thing that has always bothered me about JBJ, though, is that he ....how do I phrase this....sings in a "made up" voice. He created a rock sounding voice that he uses, but it is not his real singing voice. That has always driven me crazy.

It is one thing to have a rough edged "real" voice like Rod Stewart, but when you create one for effect, that is something entirely different.

Just my .02 complaint on this very OT subject.

Bugsy

I have ALWAYS thought the studio helped Jon BIGGGGGG time.

I've seen them live once and his voice WASN'T great. Not Ashley Simpson bad, but not like he sounded on his albums. My wife felt the same way.

Great Great show, but his sound was REEEALLLL iffy!!!!!

STUIDO MADE JOVI?????????????
