(This is from the Styx Indra list) - I personally liked it

"Bring the Rock" is a comedy/musical parody show held monthly in Los
Angeles at a club called Cafe Largo.

The master of ceremonies is Greg Behrendt one of the authors of "He's
Just Not that Into You."

Two of the members of the house band are Mark Rivers (the Cavedogs) and
Robbie Rist - he's Cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch (for those who love useless information) LOL

Mark did a "Western" version of Blue Collar Man at Bring the Rock and
Robbie captured it on his website: www.robbierist.com.

I didn't think it was bad at all either, I liked this version.

Seriously, I would love to hear a Reggae version of "Blue Collar Man". I hope there's one out there.

If I was a betting type of person (LOL) I would bet that some day, let's say within 4 years or so, there will be a Broadway musical with the music of STYX, probably called The Grand Illusion. Each song will tell a story. I'm afraid to read the stories that Classic is thinking about this

Act I The Rise

"Lights" would fit in fairly Early in Act I
"Superstars" Too.....
"Come Sail Away" would be the climax for act I

Act II The Fall

"The Grand Illusion would bring up the curtain to start Act II
"What Has Come Between Us" would fit nicely into act II
( when the boys fire Dennis.......)
"Goodbye to Roseland" would be near the end

OMG...that's horrible! lol! It sounds like(and the audience took it as)as complete joke. It's amazing what rock songs you can make country. I have a friend in a band and they do a set where they take a bunch of rock songs and make them country.

The guy singing this( Gerry Rafferty)( trying to rip off the Johnny Cash sound) is the lead in DDY's next musical. The tentive title is 'Mockingbird Lane to Baker Street' It's based on Victor Wormright's late 60's Television classic 'The Munsters'.

He( Rafferty) as ( Herman ) sings this right after he loses his job as a mortician. He is distraught on how he will take care of little Eddie, cousin Marlyn and the rest of his family including Grandpa who has just moved in with them after a lengthy illness. Its a very touching scene. Suzanne talks about this at great length in the current Crib section on DDY's website.

It sounds like Dennis is doing this as a means of trying to mend fences with Tommy. Tommy will get some of the proceeds if DDY's new musical or the sountrack hit big!!!

As usual Dennis sure shows alot of class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
