Suite, since you're obviously a Rob Thomas fan, I was just curious, what did you think of the last album with MB20, and what do you think of the solo effort?

Yes, I love the music of Matchbox Twenty and Rob Thomas :)

Their last album, "More Than You Think You Are" is my favorite. I like all the songs on there. I do like the others too.

I LOVE Rob Thomas' solo cd, "Something To Be". The cd is a great variety of music. I personally don't think any two songs sound a like. I bet he'll have at least 3 songs that will make the Billboard top 10. His cd is still in the top 100 on Amazon (#52 today). I'm pretty sure he has one of the first dual disks out there, one side cd the other dvd :)

Rob's selling out some of his concert dates right away. I'm waiting for tickets to go on sale for the Milwaukee date.

If you want more details or need anything, just let me know :)

I also really liked the last MB20 album, especially "Disease" and the hidden track.. I actually bought the album for "Unwell", but talk about a song getting too many spins..

If anything, I think they should have given "Hand Me Down" a chance as a single, I think it might have been a little more successful than "Bright Lights".

I'll be honest, a friend of mine bought the new solo album, and he sampled most, if not all of the tracks for me, and I wasn't too impressed. I guess I was hoping he'd go more in a rock direction, and the first single really strikes me as something Justin Timberlake would do.. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance, God knows, there have been plenty of CDs that I didn't appreciate on the first listen..

Oh, I love the songs "Disease", "Unwell" and "Bright Lights", my favorite MB20 songs!! During bowling season, I play these over and over. I'm hoping they added a few more of my STYX cd's!! LOL

Please listen to the Rob Thomas cd a few times. I bet there will be at least 5 songs that you will really, really, really like :) The whole cd is a huge variety of music. No 2 songs sound similar, which I like.

Okay, explain. Do you take a boombox to the bowling alley or what? I'm jealous. Here we get no music at the local alley, save for the jukebox in the lounge (which probably won't get the Rob Thomas CD for at least another five years, based on past precedent).

By the way, Suite, is there a cover of Madonna's Holiday on the Rob Thomas CD? (I think I asked you on another thread, but either you missed the question or I missed the answer). If so, is it any good?

LOL, no I don't bring my boombox. We have a jukebox and it's loaded with all MB20 songs :) I always get to bowling earlier so I can have my songs played, I have to beat the guy that plays the crappy Doors cd. He plays the entire cd because he loves watching me get mad, it makes his night. The idiot calls me and leaves Doors music on answering machine, ACK!!!
I know the owner of the bowling alley, so I requested a bunch of STYX cd's for this season.

I'm sorry, I must've missed the post or forgot to respond. No, Rob's version of "Holiday" isn't on the cd. Didn't he play this for Live 8? Now I can't remember. I don't think I have it anywhere, I'll look for it. Thanks. Did you hear it?

Thanks for the explanation, Suite. I'll sleep better now--LOL. And no, I haven't heard Rob's version yet, but I'd sure like to.

I'm glad I'm helping out with everyone's sleep problems - LOL It's really sad, I can turn a 30 second story into a 20 minute story (just ask Sadie)

If you need anything else explained, please let me know
