OT - Patriots vs Raiders

Postby onestilllearning » Fri Sep 09, 2005 10:05 am

Ok football fans the official start of the NFL season begins in a little more than an hour. With the Pats 7 1/2 point favorites I am putting $20.00 on the Raiders. As a fan I will also put $20.00 on the Pats at -4 for the first half. So far I am up $38.00 from the post season.

I have to go now and and open my Birthday cards and gifts as I always celebrate my birthday on the day of the Pats first game. Couple years ago that was on my birthday.

Can't wait to see what the wife (Susan) and daughters (Danielle age 13 , Michaela age 8) have for me. I will post what I got before the game starts so stay tuned.

OSL. Let's just hope the game is a whole LOT better than this pre-game "entertainment." What happened to "music."

Ok, ok...the Stones were, ok, but, PLEASE no closeups!!!!!

If anyone would like to bet off-line for this season, please let me know - off line would be okay :)

I'll put up some extra STYX stuff that I have in my vault.

I'll take the Green Bay Packers to go all the way.

Froy, I think you're messing with the wrong team (and person - LOL) this season. You'll be owing me enough from all our previous bets. Except the "First Time" one at Rockford.

Check your mailbox next Tuesday, and it won't be refrigerated - LOL

Okay, then I'll take the Packers and you can take whatever team :)

Ok I got $30.00 from Claire my mother in law, $30.00 from Patty my sister in law, $30.00 from Paula and Don my bother and sister in law. Susan gave me a $75.00 gift card for the new golf club in town and a frosted Patriots mug from Dani and Miki (thats what we call them) plus hand made birthday cards. Very happy -- Mom and Dad send money a week or so late always my age in dollars. Older brother Tom sends nothing but thats ok he's 47 and lives with my parents.

Green Day is playing now and Dani is loving it. By the way GD is what TS is listening to these days. Too bad kanye West had to start the show. He is the rapper that said Bush doesn't care about black people.

GOTTA GO

Music definitely got much better! Green Day was terrific. I would have taken another song from them and given the hook to Kayne. Ozzy! Good job of singing with your backing track! "Crazy Train" indeed!!

Bets on this year???? The Texans are not there yet . Dallas will improve but they have no QB.

Look like Tom Brady and his Pats will be the ones to beat.

I want to see if Da Bearz sign our former UT RB, Cedric Benson. They may improve this year with that guy in the backfield. However, sounds like he is in some back field in Texas right now. Apparently no one has "shown him the money."

Good luck all you bettors and fans!!!
