Leesa and i have had a bet online and both put $10 each on 2 teams to win superbowl, 1 from each conference.
We both tried to avoid faves like Colts , Pats etc to get the better odds, here are our bets..
Leesa
RAIDERS 30/1
PANTHERS 14/1
Darren
PACKERS 38/1
STEELERS 14/1
Any football experts rate our chances ?

Darren,
BRILLIANT pick og the Packers.....that $380.00 will come in most handy in the month of February ! We're ( I can say that because I own 1 share of Packer stock.....) going to join the 1973 Dolphins as the only 2 NFL teams to have a perfect season.......
Brett Favre's gonna make you a Rich man !

Apparently Detroit was unaware of this plan

OMG, yes it is!! He was the
hottest &
toughest football player in the 90's!!! He was a blast in Florida the both times I went down to Tampa, years and years ago!!

That picture (I took myself out-LOL) was taken when Favre joined the team. In fact in Tampa Bay that year, it was the first game Favre played when that dumbass Majik was taken out of the game.
Chuck's an assistant coach with the Tennessee Titans now and he still looks great
Anyway, what was the subject? trying to cool off..................

Darren,
I will admit to having my faith shaken a bit with the Packers HORRENDOUS start.....but, not ready to to put on an Aretha Franklin
( or insert another rotund female singer of your choice here...)
CD just yet. Fortunately, The Packers play in the NFC North, where the level of competition means an 8-8 Record could get into the playoffs.
Keep the faith, once we gel, there's no stopping us ! I just hope the gellin starts SOON !

Keep the faith!! LOL
They're the Packers, they always come back. Just as long as we have a better record than the Chicago Bears (ACK) by the end of the year, I'll be happy.

HEHEHEHEHEHE
Sorry...couldn't resist. Sad when we have a better record then the packers and STILL suck.
It is SAD, very SAD!! We need to win our division by the end of the season. All I want is the Packers to have a better record than the crappy Bears and the Viqueens. I can't stand those 2 teams, no offense - LOL
I have to get my Packer flag up in front of the house, that's the whole problem, yeah that's it!!

Classic, DON'T BE MAD!!! I just had to find this thread!
Aren't you glad we didn't bet anyone at the beginning of the season???
I have to admit, I was SO wrong about the Packers this season!!! It's so sad that I'm laughing and crying at the same time - LOL !!!

Leesa, you have proven to be a woman of class, distinction and taste. You can root for the Panthers all you'd like.

Scott, how far do you think the Panthers will really go??

If they can get their running game going, they could be bumblin' fumblin' stumblin' their way to the Superbowl again. NFC is pretty weak now. I suppose it's between Seattle, NY Giants and Carolina. Chicago has a nice D, but not enough offense to win 2 or 3 playoff games.

ACK, I didn't see the Panthers going anywhere far, sorry.
How about these teams going to Playoffs and then one of these for the Superbowl?
Denver (ACK), Indy, Cincinnati, New England (ACK), Pittsburg (?) and Jacksonville
Cincinnati to take it all? LOL

There you go again...stating the truth of the matter. I'm just happy we have a winning season. One learns in Chicago not to get ones hopes up.
